I think that’s why Nita changes guitar in the first chorus
@tazz19733 ай бұрын
no - this is what Nita told me: yeah my guitar was out of tune with the cold! I could have made it through with the fine tuners but my solo was next and I wanted Brian to have time to get it back to being perfect

Yeah it is pretty basic. She should have extended a solo in a song versus getting a guitar solo, she's not ready for it yet or she was having a slow night.

@brendannahor14603 ай бұрын
Yes! It's on "Love It To Death" from 1971! Absolutely fantastic song! (apparently, when Alice sings the "I've Got To Get Out Of Here" lines that get faster and faster, Bob Ezin buried Cooper under a large pile of chairs to get the feeling of being trapped!) 🤔

Drummer too fast, lead guitar way too loud. Should have kept it acoustic.
@tazz19734 ай бұрын
I was standing right in front of the amps so they are loud from stage volume - front of house would have been mixed
@victorpeirce47534 ай бұрын
@crossfire8022 It's always been played with an electric guitar. I don't know what you have been listening to in the last 36 years, but "The Flame" has never been acoustic, ever. Timing is definitely a bit off though.
@crossfire80214 ай бұрын
@@victorpeirce4753 yes I’ve seen them dozens of times. I’m referring to how they started the song. It sounded much better before the drums and electric guitar jumped in.
@victorpeirce47534 ай бұрын
@@crossfire8021That's how it's always played. I've been to dozens of Cheap Tricks concerts and Rick Nielsen always plays electric guitar on this song. It's Rick's son Dax on drums who's to fast. It was so much better when Bun. E. Carlos was playing drums.💯%
@ivyhope6604 ай бұрын
Perhaps it's time to retire this song. I'm a Cheap Trick fan and Robin Zander's voice was the best. Ever. There are very, very few people who can do anything as well as they did over thirty years ago.
