As someone who owns a not friendly dog (at least towards strangers) why the F are you trying to go to a dog park, the only time i feel fine walking my dog is when there's minimal people around and even then im nervous. He’s literally protecting their dogs. My dog was bitten in the neck by another large dog and as a result is now reactive towards dogs due to fear. She is not friendly. So when people let their dogs roam freely and they come running up to my dog she is immediately going to guard, perhaps more! However, she is perfectly fine when she is in a dog park! I don’t know the psychology here but that’s the way she is. I walk her to the dog park every day where she plays with them, plays fetch, does her work with polite and enjoyable nature and when we walk home she’s a maniac near or passing other dogs. Keep your dogs on a leash! He’s doing his job.
