I'd say 50 is closer to "standard" but there are some players that will give up 60.

My cynical comment would be that the guys who want the w always play the axis so you get massive and continual innovation on that side. And the better players are never going to get the allied bid they are looking for. So yeah Andrew will give you 60 because against him you need 60+x. This is the problem with the bid. We should collectively fix the setup or play France goes first.

By the way, I figured out on my TripleA you can use the ""Show Map Details" in the View menu to reload the map graphics when you are looking through the history. That glitch you are dealing with happens to me all the time too.

To clarify that game was actually Big World 1942 using v3 rules. V3 in TripleA is Anniversary edition. I believe the GenCon/World Championship tournament uses 1942 2nd edition which is v5 in TripleA. Thanks for the video!

Me thinks LHTR was created to correct the unbalanced gap oob version had over the Allies, don’t think it was to shorten the game, and if it was then it was a very negligible difference of a correction! According to the Discord community, the gap was almost Even between the Axis & Allies with LHTR- Although it may not show it on the Online Steam site, only because it has lots of newbie or unremarkable players that play the Allies that still lose to the Axis, they seem not to have the experience or patience needed by the Allies to beat the Axis….

The numbers are the numbers. The experiment would be for each person to play a solo game. Inevitably each person would win against themselves with the Axis. Record a game and show us.

Going to disagree. Larry created them. Obviously optional. Funny thing to make or break a game group. I’ve driven 12 hours for a tournament. 2 hours one way to playtest. 1 hour and a half to teach some teens 41. So I guess I have different standards. As the Scripture says “Increase, do not decrease in number.”

Crockett36 and I met 24 hours earlier than expected so I wasn't prepared for class, but at least he was! Is worth a watch.
