Humbuckers shouldn’t need it. The single coil looking pickup looks like it’s a rail type humbucker as well.

I do not know why but on the website they say the guitar is 4 7/8 " and it is not, many people have measured them and they are 4" and that is quite a difference. The website is inaccurate. Also IMO these should come with a 1 3/4 nut width and wider string spacing. It is a hybrid fingerstyle/strumming guitar and I think they should come standard with those specs. Also a slight C to Mod V neck would be the way to go......

Looks amazing, just can't understand why they go for a logo that doesn't fit the guitar. Such a nice guitar should have a more classic looking logo. Or is it a removable sticker ?

Maybe CBS / Fender's vinyl sealer failures where the result of crumby scuff sanding or contamination. Good luck.
@peterstephen15626 ай бұрын
Oh my god. Don't you know that CBS / Fender used vinyl sealers under the cellulose of all those guitars that the lacquer often crack off badly and/ or end up cloudy. Both from lack of compatability and adhesion.

Thank you! So 45mm from the top and how many mm away from the body?
@andrewmorgan316610 ай бұрын
Hi Lawrence. Is that definitely 45mm from the top of the fretboard? I recently bought a LG47 and the shop advised (after apparently contacting yourselves at Atkin) that the measurement was 45mm from the bottom of the fingerboard. I am now quite confused??
@laurencelock10 ай бұрын
Hi Andrew, either is in tolerance. So not to worry. 45mm from the bottom of the fretboard may look more appealing on a longer heeled guitar like a D37 or a J43.

@@laurencelock Thank you Laurence. Very much appreciated.
@andrewmorgan316610 ай бұрын
@@laurencelock I am fitting my strap buttons, which were recently supplied by yourselves on to a LG47 and an OM37, so would I be correct in assuming 45mm from the top of the fretboard would be suitable? Cheers.

Are those Monel strings, or do my eye's deceive me?
@tribestribes255511 ай бұрын
Great guys these, but there is allways a but. Why? Well I became a little dissapointed because of the neck to body junction. Oh hell, there was them damn scruvs again . Doesnt anyone build guitars these day with an ordinary dovetail any more? I do, but thats me. Think that the only metallic things in a acoustic guitar should be the tuners and strings.

I had the pleasure of trying the candy apple Red J43 in Coda today. As well as its unique look, it sounds glorious. It was a tough decision between the CAR J43 and an Essential D. One of them came home with me today 😊
@Atkinguitarcompany11 ай бұрын
Cool. Which one?
@stratnut11 ай бұрын
@@Atkinguitarcompany I would have taken both! But I've been after a great D18 for a few years. So the essential D was my choice. However, the CAR was one of the best sounding guitars in the shop. Spoilt for choice! Very pleased with the ED.
