Thanks for having this posted. This was my senior year of band and now my oldest is in middle school band starting trumpet. Amazing to see these old recordings still alive.

My 39th Thanksgiving and the first after 9/11. As a South Carolina resident, I remember that there were some students from White Knoll Middle School in West Columbia that donated funds to purchase a new fire truck for the NYFD when they lost one of the trucks when the towers collapsed.

+mkl62 I was 12 1/2 on Thanksgiving Day 2001. Not only do I very clearly remember 9/11 but I remember watching this parade and thinking how great it was that the city was coming back to life. Today it brings tears to my eyes thinking about it, with the cop who sang the national anthem and the NYPD/FDNY marching with the American flags. I went to the memorial museum in June of this year. So somber and I tried very hard not to get upset. I am really glad they didn't cancel this parade. It was the 75th parade. It almost got cancelled in 1963 due to JFK.

So sad that, just one month before the parade, thousands of lives were lost. It must have been devastating for the friends and families of those people to not get to celebrate Thanksgiving that year with them. RIP to you all. We will never forget any of you.

Congratulations on your return to Macy's. I'm sure that you probably know members of the 2001 version, and now, eight years later, you're back. This is something that I know that you will never forget. You can tell your children and grandchildren about this, as I'm sure that the 2001 members are beginning families of their own. What time will you hit Herald Square. Please reply if you know.

I wouldn't exactly say there are drug issues at either school. Yes, drugs are present in every school but the fact is that both schools are great schools and that really is all that matters

AMAZING BAND THIS YEAR!
@Nugent4Heisman16 жыл бұрын
this show was good show. the band however was one of the weaker ones they had seen. Sewell is a genius in featuring the stronger sections of the band. he really understands how to be great every year. this year is not going as well, is the show not flowing or what? Buckeye Invitational seemed very tenative performance.
