What were your three questions at the beginning of 2024? How did it go for last year?

Thank you. It's amazing how long we have missed the basic instructions we have always needed. . How easily traditions and false loyalties have taken over our churches.

I’m curious to know how common are signs and wonders, and what place they have in the spread of the gospel and disciples being made in his context.

Thank YOU for enabling me to listen to Dr Nik Ripken. Yes, the Disciples Making, is a Noble ROLE. Cynthia, I had the role after bitter peaks, and revelations. So many Christians and non-christians are victims of poor leadership and despots leading nations for own interests. I was born in Christian FAMILY, in a colonial led nation. I saw seed down of hatred, that led to many cyclic killings of ethnicities based hatred. Christian led Churches of different nations in Missions never challenged this 1959-1994. This is the Example of RWANDA in East Africa. The colonial powers, were on their interests not of the people. People perished in churches, when ran there for protection! So, the bitter lesson was revealed, as we do have examples of exemplary liberators who gave their lives for the people freedom. We have peace here now in RWANDA, stability and brotherhood in the nation, model to others with monuments of GENOCIDE against the TUTSI 1994, that have cyclic repetition across our border in DRC, as you see in and around Goma!! But, model brotherhood across the border can't be seen, and nations are led in blindness, even the UN, and Disciples Led, are not heard challenging the wars!! The Religions Disciple Making, should think and lead the Peace Lives, led by the people. Mind Sets should be, or guide the disciples for stable nations, not selfish enriching, pitty, rather building Eternal Kingdom. I had this experience in a 35 years exiled life!! But, besides learning a profession, God gave me a Burden Mission of Building a MINISTRY of Spiritual GROWTH, and not selfish enriching. Thank YOU. May God bless your Ministry.

Dear Anderson, I am amazed by how God has sent you my way! I am a Church Planter living in Rwanda, Nyamata town, south side of Kigali, Rwanda. Churches with litle halls and limited facilities have been shut. The Lord is leading us in the direction of home-based disciple making. So landing on your podcasts is a great and God-given resource center. Thank you so much!

Xcellent !!!! Thank you for stating clearly the reality that most movements are slow is encouraging. Because it is rare for DMM coaches and trainers to acknowledge this reality, I often feel discouraged, like I am doing something wrong, when I don't see a rapid and exponential increase in my work.

This interview is an unexpected delight. @13:54 “Most people in the churches that we reach out have no idea of discipleship. They don’t really have a clear understanding what discipleship is and how to go about it.” - Alan Hirsch @14:24 "It’s what we call attractional forms of church. Mostly it’s predicated on, based on, non-discipleship, because it doesn’t call to that. It calls to believe ideas. It doesn’t call people to follow, and that’s a huge problem.” - Alan Hirsch @19:43 "When I come back to the West, I've told a lot of people I've never been more concerned about the church in America, and I've never been more hopeful that movemental ways of thinking and working could take off here." - Cynthia @32:16 “Jesus isn’t after the masses. Jesus can change the world with 12 disciples. He can’t change the world with 12,000 consumers. Much of the way we do church is predicated on what we say is consumerism. It calls people to believe certain ideas but it doesn’t call them to follow. So they’re non-disciples, they’re not disciples. They might be called admirers of Jesus but they’re not followers of Jesus, and they don’t model their lives on Jesus.” - Alan Hirsch @38:43 “We are called to proclaim the Gospel. But we’re not to be centered on it. The problem is unless we have a clarity on Jesus, what you’re going to do is create a whole group of people who believe certain ideas but they haven’t got a commitment to focus on becoming more like Jesus.” - Alan Hirsch Wow!
