To be fair, I would probably do the same. Either that, or head farther north where the trains are scarcer. Not to mention, the Grade Crossings are all up there, so I’d get a lot of horn, especially at like Katonah or Brewster.

P42s south of Albany aren't rare. They may not be an every day occurrence but they run enough of them down to NYC for it to not be rare and if you still think they're rare then yesterday had to've been the rarest day on the Hudson line in a while because 3 units were sent in and out of NYC
