I was doing 'free' OTA TV long before cable and ''digital'' its still around just get an antenna connect it to your set rescan and your good to go.

My issue is that when I watch OTA local channels like ABC, NBC, etc the channels they aren’t HD. The picture is there but it’s not crisp like how it’s supposed to be. Any ideas?

IT only works for the USA

So just wanted to put this out there for anyone setting up a AirTv 2 or Anywhere. I don’t know how long it’s been an issue but it’s very underreported. If you’re using any kind of Apple product to set this up, it’s not going to work! You will get as far as the channel scan on the airtv set up and then it will just lock up once you start the channel scan. From the little I’ve been able to find using an Amazon or android device will work for the setup and allow it to continue but using an Apple device will not work. I know from personal experience. I do not have access to any of the listed devices that are claimed to work so I cannot say if they do and I’ve only read one Reddit post claiming they had success with the Amazon/android device getting it set up correctly. Very disappointing that Sling will not fix this obviously software issue!!!

Is it possible to have the Verizon box set up in one location, then send the WiFi signal to 2 different locations using cat 6 cable? I have a situation where I need internet in my shop and in my house and want to have good signal in the house as well as the shop. Any suggestions? Thanks

Just in case anyone else gets confused: Your router should be connected to the LAN2 port. The narrator specifies the limitations of the LAN1 port in pass-through mode, but doesn’t explicitly say to use LAN2 for the router. It’s more implied and I missed that the first two watches. Also the Verizon instructions specify restarting the router (unplug the power, count to 10, and replug) and then plug in the LAN2 port once the white lite comes on steady.

We got a Tablo a couple of weeks ago and it's been great. I really like the interface and the simplicity. I wish we could watch it away from home, though. It's not a big issue now, but the bulk of football season it may be (so, next year). I just worry that AirTV could go obsolete and won't even be useful in the near future with how hard the product has been to find.

I was able to locate 4 T-Mobile 5G Towers all within 1 mile. The closest was just less than 1/2 mile but the CELL zoning was 2 blocks or 1,200 feet short in range. The Others 3 towers miss my residency by 4 to 8 city blocks. I am kind of in the middle but all the Towers just really miss regarding Excellent Signal Strength. I am in a Grey Zone or yeah able to get a signal. It like being in the Eye of the Storm. Seen but Forgotten. My neighbors across the road do better as the Cell Zones cover the region well which is a City Cemetery, I suppose the Internet companies are talking with the dead.

I set mine up at a motel where the router was really far away and I had no problem.

My neighbor uses one of these I see their wifi at full bars all the way at the edge of my home I have no idea what they do with their internet, but I know my extender is having a hard time coping😢

Thank you; Great video! - My Recast recently became useless (Q4 of 2024) because the guide is no longer updating reliably anymore. (I blame Amazon) So recording was no longer happening. - I already had a PLEX server going, so I made the switch to running Live TV and DVR with an HDHomerun device which works well. So now I'm going to grab that Recast HDD and use it on my PLEX server for storing those recordings now to make use of the optimization on that drive.

After 90 minutes I can’t stand it because I couldn’t even get it set up. Wouldn’t even pair with the receiver. What a total piece of $hit! Poor tutorials, poor support! Taking it back and sticking with cable. At least cable works!

This is fine if you live in a (Flat) area. Digital signals travel in a straight line & will not bend to terrain. If you live in a real hilly area, No signals. I would have to have a 100 foot tower to get to the top of my hill for a signal. I've tried all the rest & it doesn't work. TV station is 12 miles away. That's the problem with digital TV in rural areas. It don't work as promised. Doesn't matter what brand of antenna you have, you must be high enough to grab that signal. I really miss analog TV & radio. You could pick up stuff for hundreds of miles.

Thankyou for your help. I used an old long ariel wire with one end in the tv and on the other end i cut the wire insulation leaving about 5-7mm of the inside copper cable. I was about to just give up on it until i saw your video. Thankyou again
