I felt that Midas was a slight letdown compared to their debut. Felt like a lot of the songs on Midas were just too simple and the writing wasn't as good as on Cub :(

I felt the same until I saw them live at Brixton. Midas makes total sense live. Listen to both albums equally now

Is it really necessary to film the entire show on your phone. That just seems a bit disrespectful to the band imo
@deadsubmarinesАй бұрын
@@Caradocg i film because many people appreciate having something to look back on after the show, and to give people who didn’t have to chance to attend an opportunity to witness whatever show i’ve been at, filming doesn’t take away from my experience of the show as i don’t focus on my phone at all whenever a band are on stage, i just rest my arm on the barrier and look over it with wunderhorse especially i’ve had a chat with jacob and pete about my videos before and they both appreciated the idea and it doesn’t seem to bother them at all :)

@@user-ob5cw1pg9b if i’m trying to meet an artist after a show i’ll tend to wait outside of the venue, usually there’s a couple more people who hang around too so i stick with them, this show we were told that the band were not coming out so we really got lucky with meeting jacob, but you have to respect any rules security are putting out, they’ll often want you to move away from the venue a bit :)

@@j1mm3r I think this could be about losing any of his loved ones and not necessarly an aborted child, nothing in the song gives the idea it's about specifically that, I'm not sure where you got that from.

@@brnszi bro. "ghost without a name" "sorry if u suffered when they turned out all the lights" "flicker of the candle" (baby being concieved if u couldnt work it out) "at the snuffing of the flame" (dont think i need to specify that one. also "and they say its rlly nothing, just a disappearing pain" why would anyone say that losing any other loved one is just a disappearing pain, that would be quite insensitive. maybe check the lyrics before you question somebody on them continuing on if you still dont believe me... "mama shes a beauty and ur daddy's eyes are blue" lets say ur best mate just died it would be a bit weird to go about talking abt how good looking their parents are. "and i never meant to hurt you or to tear you from this life" brother; jacob would probably not confess to committing murder on publicily accessed media. "but youre woven in the verses of this broken lullaby" why would the imagery of lullaby be used here, pretty sure u wouldnt talk abt ur dead best mate in a lullaby brother
