What was the yield please
@Louismcauley2 жыл бұрын
That particular crop did 2.4 tonne per acre but our 2022 crops drilled the same way did in and around 3 tonne per acre

Great video! what do you use to incorporate the chopped straw?
@Louismcauley3 жыл бұрын
We just use the disc drill and sow a cover crop into it, worms seem to take care of the rest
@oconnellsfarm8113 жыл бұрын
If had to keep one drill which be the one interesting video

Definitely at this stage the 750A. Great all rounder and quick for sowing cover crops and for sowing into big cover crops.

Super video of a very well run harvest. Fair play lads. No sign of the real boss yet making his appearance ?? #bringbackbabyjoe 🤠🤠

Some serious maintenance there lads. 👌I'd say Paddy Timmons was rubbing his hands when that list came in.

Hard to believe thats near 6 months ago. Great to see some of the drying. Only seen bits of it when collecting feed.

didn't know you had a you tube channel Louis nicely done. Just debating whether to stay Massey or go JD here at the moment, if we stay Massey we won't get the upgrade to gen 4 auto steer will stay with 2630 screen.

Wow that harvester is going well!!! Some fine trailers and tractors too!!Nice crop of quality grass!!! Great video!!!

Normally for the corners as we are sweeping around the turn we raise the boundary flights out of the way and increase the right side by 20%. Once straight again lower boundary flights and reduce the right side back to normal. Do you not find the augur for filling mashes the CF Fertiliser into powder?
@Louismcauley3 жыл бұрын
That’s not possible on the bogballe as you have to stop pto and change direction of discs for headland spreading. Don’t find the auger does much damage at all, in fact it actually does a great job to clean up any damp or lumpy fertiliser if it was loaded from a shed

Great info. Can you create an A/B line off your straight ditch on your headline run? And measure the field from there?
@Louismcauley3 жыл бұрын
Yes by using the fill in function. As you you are autosteer around the headland in boundary track you will have the option on the screen to fill in. Once you are drawing a boundary it will be measuring the field

Super stuff, lovely big flat fields there to work in. For some reason I thought you were a tillage only man, is grass part of the rotation?
@Louismcauley3 жыл бұрын
A small bit of it is but we are hoping to do more rotating going forward

Good idea using a timber trailer for the fertiliser.
@Louismcauley3 жыл бұрын
Yes it works really well. That trailer used to have a much bigger work load before we bought our bredal and when we used all bulk. I think it’s 1988, it got new timber and blasted and sprayed last summer

Good video. Always interesting to get an insight to the farming life
@GoDroning3 жыл бұрын
This is brilliant. There should be more of this. An insight into the cab view and what goes on in there ie great. You have a very clear narrative and explain things well. Everybody that watches this needs to hit subscribe

Great stuff Louis.. love your approach.. nothing worse than being sent into plough a bog part of a field just to bull a crop into it for the sake of it. Your doing far more good for the local biodiversity and soil health in the long run. 👍

Hey. This vid is really instructional! I've been trying to look for KZbin video that really educates the ideas in this KZbin video. 🧑⚕️ 🧑⚕️Your lesson is like the content of Dr Ethan. Dr's tips are for sure helpful and he actually helped me a lot on my school. He is the most informative Dr in the UK and he talks about vitamins. I recommend you watch his YT out and give the Doctor a subscribe! 👉 #MedicalStudentEthan
