ok let's evaluate some of today's data: 1.- Mai pop counts as of today are higher than Nodoka's 2.- Nodoka started with a count of ZERO since it was only available via exchange 3.- Mai was available in both sealed products (double the chance?) 4.- Nodoka was more playable, but Mai is/was a more popular character - decision making 5.- if Nodoka was more played, does that mean the available copies are either more damaged and/or ungraded? 6.- if Mai was the more desirable character at the time, then people who got it, kept it? 7.- it is assumed all Mai's pulled were sent but there's evidence of not many people noticing Weiss announcement (18 shares or so, very few comments) some reddit posts mentioning about the announcement 7-8 months in and not willing to trade it, not to mention some regions like LATAM was definitely see this like a challenge (logistics wise) and clearly pricier than the price of the "gift/apology" box to be given for a "very low chance" of pulling another Gold Signature card. - aka very unlikely that many exchanged in some regions. All things considered I'd say Nodoka is rarer (at least graded) and if so, it might be incorrectly priced. Food for thought but it sounds to me an easy choice, Nodoka wasn't available to be pulled from any product, Today's pop counts in PSA, BGS and CGC are lower than Mai's - a no-brainer.

Nodoka is probably an 4x of in a deck. There's a lot of max rarity bunny senpai v1 so the count is drastically higher than you would expect. Also during this time td cases were not normally bought as players didn't care for it. So in general TDs were under printed. Given the exchange rate. There's way more nodoka than mais. The mais is the higher profit gradable card so pop count is higher b.c people will try to get a 10 crack and resubmit

@@goldstarcollectibles - if my understanding is correct, Nodoka Gold Signature SP wasn't available to be pulled from any product, only available via Mai exchange, but if not, why is practically non-available anywhere if Mai was supposed to be exchanged for it? eager to learn more about it, and I'm not trying to say Mai should not be priced where it is, I still think Nodoka is incorrectly priced if the above information is somewhat correct. Pricing data points at around the Trade-in Campaign 1.- Before the trade-in campaign there were ZERO Nodokas and Mai's price was 150 2.- At the trade-in campaign announcement Mai's price sky-rocketted to 400 3.- 6+ Months after the trade-in campaign was announced and Mai was around 2000 USD Price was it's also clear that exchanging Mai (a 400-2000 usd card) wasn't very rewarding if Nodoka was just playable, that's also a good indicator that IMO would favor Nodoka to be rarer. All things considered I'd say Nodoka is rarer (at least graded) and if so, it might be incorrectly priced

It is probably worth 10k but that doesn't mean that is a senseable price. No on actually traded that Mai in for the other card in the redemptions so that redemption sign is FAR rarer. This card got hyped into being a grail despite being no rarer then any other SP in the set. But hey people area allowed to spend their money as they see fit.

Wdym 😂 Most people traded their Mai’s in… I literally worked at an LGS as this happened and saw it with my own eyes. Online groups were all rushing to send it n for the box and Nodoka.

@RayQ101 not sure what you were seeing lol. There were discussions on global in Facebook with people laughing about doing that. There also seems to be a good bit of Mai popping up if it's so rare lol.

@@audrisampson You can just check pop reports and see that it’s not true. I’d say half of them at BGS 10 were just crack and resubs. JP Mai has a 6x pop size to English as well.

@@audrisampson I don’t know what to tell you when several large shops that were around at the time made videos on it claiming otherwise, lgs workers like me seeing it firsthand, and even the KZbinr who made this sent his original copy in with video proof… and you can check that no one ran the ephem Mai card in any of the meta decks (whereas Nodoka was quite useful).

I'm fairly new to the game (just have a konosuba trial deck) Is 1 booster box of this set enough for a "decent deck" I kinda want to buy it because fate is my favorite franchise but don't want to just throw money away if the deck isn't even playable
