Hustler fund is transactional cash for quick fixes, not investment money. Still waiting for the government that will actually support small businesses, even though as an entrepreneur I can attest that many Kenyans are not worth helping with business funds. They give up too soon on their businesses. But the reason why most Kenyan businesses remain small while others close is the lack of expansion funds. Nobody truly wants to lend small businesses money; they’re often unstable and there are valid reasons for this. So till then, we dance to the old tune. Hustler fund; zero impact to businesses given that it’s not a new concept. We had several similar options prior. I wish the government would identify small businesses that need expansion and pump their billions there to create jobs and further boost the economy. That for me would be the game changer. It would encourage people to also work hard at their small businesses regardless to keep the economy growing.
