Ich bin sehr, sehr traurig. Wir sind im Juni da gewesen. Ich habe allen meinen Freunden gesagt, daß es jetzt meine Lieblingsinsel ist. Ich zehre jetzt noch von den blühenden Wiesen in verschiedenen Farben den vielen histor. Kirchen und Gebäuden und natürlich der freundlichen Bevölkerung. Da wäre ich gerne mal hin umgesiedelt. Dieser Traum ist nun zerplatzt. Eine Nato Insel kann ja jederzeit zum Zielpunkt werden. Ich hoffe, dass die neue Regierung den Antrag auf den Natobeitritt nicht aufrecht erhält. Es wäre sonst schädlich für Schweden und ihre seit 200 Jahren existierende Neutralität. Hört auf euer Herz.

Gotland has always been considered to have a strategically important position. Something that Gotlanders have been aware of, but with the war in Ukraine and NATO membership, it is only now that it feels like a real threat. It's sad even though I think the risk of war is low.
