Important question that I haven't seen answered yet... I always take a practice shot with my irons before taking an actual shot, will Arccos sensors think that I'm taking two shots instead of a practice + an actual shot? Thanks!
@TKGolfYT7 күн бұрын
Good question! As a rule, no it won’t 😊 basically, it will register a shot and then if you hit another shot in close proximity, it won’t register another. I’ve added shots after farting some because the two are so close together. Hope that makes sense 🤔

My two brothers and I spent part of this last weekend at a Top Golf facility while we were visiting family in Idaho. It became very obvious that the balls they use there are designed and engineered to be used inside the 220 yard fenced enclosure which is typical of Top Golf ranges. We used their clubs as well, which are made to be easy to hit but are lofted at traditional plus a couple of degrees. Once we realized that these balls and those clubs were not going to perform like back home at the golf course, we got into the game spirit, which is really about knowing what your Top Golf carry is for you that day, and with an emphasis on clean strikes and ACCURACY. It turned out to be a real hoot. 'Range golf is just that. Fun and instructive in context.

The range games are so much fun aren’t they! 😊 I still go over to a local one sometimes just for a laugh, and the driving range will always be good to work on the swing. But for getting yardages, best see a pro 😊

I usually play chrome soft or chrome tour I am a callaway guy. Chrome soft playing amazing for me it’s my go to fav hounds down but when I’m playing a round where I might loose my chrome soft the hex soft has performed exceptional and couldn’t even tell any difference. Only difference I can tell is when putting it does jump up a bit more than chrome soft/tour. At half the price 25$ this is a no brainer for me

Callaway do make some great balls! I think the HEX is up there as one of the best budget balls going! 💪🏻

The trackman range I'm using is fairly accurate for most full shots, I can confirm that based on GPS data, but you absolutey can't trust it for pitches and chips. That's what the short game area is for.

Some ranges are better than others to be fair! I’ve been to some that have a more premium ball as their range balls 😊

The difference in driver is bigger than in this video. Most ranges in our area are -10 % balls so if you carry your driver normally 210m, the carry with range balls is around 190m. 7-iron difference is about 10 meters.
@TKGolfYT6 күн бұрын
That’s interesting! I did find the driver results of mine had a large difference, but like you said, some range balls are designed to go shorter than even the one I was using 😬
@kennethmckinney253210 күн бұрын
All range balls are not created equal obviously. Quick story and I did this little test just 2 days ago and I realize it's not scientific in any way. The club I play and practice daily at here in Myrtle Beach uses Bridgestone range balls. When new they feel soft and fly true so I decided to do a little experiment. I play tons of golf and have used many different brands two piece, three piece etc over the years. Bottom line is the Bridgestone range ball went just as long, flew and stopped just as well and felt beautiful off the putter. There are 3 courses at my club and I have played them hundreds of times so I know where I typically hit it and if anything I gained distance. The durability was incredible also. It looked new when I walked off 18. Weird I know but true. Cheers
@TKGolfYT6 күн бұрын
That’s really interesting 🤔 your home course sounds like an incredible place for golf! I’m wondering if your club has the budget for quality range balls 😊 I know some premium courses use premium balls on their ranges! If my course did that… these a good chance they would get stolen 😂

No padding above the screen, just a netting across the whole top of the enclosure. Imagine a hitting case, but indoors 😊

Be very interested in how you put the floor down and how you used the catenary wire
@TKGolfYT12 күн бұрын
So, the original floor in polished concrete. Ontop of that, I’ve laid a spruce timber frame with floorboards on top. That way, I was able to sink the hitting mat to sit flush with my flooring 😊 There’s a square shaped catenary wire around the top of the enclosure. From this I’ve hug my top netting (so I can hit LW and flop shots without worrying about going over the screen), my side netting and of course my hitting screen 😊

Buddy, you are using a mevo+ this device needs rct golf balls to calculate spin. Which is the biggest difference between those 2 balls. You basically just uploaded a video to show the world you know nothing about golf data. Congrats.
@TKGolfYT22 күн бұрын
Needs RCT balls 😂 the mevo plus was accurate before RCT balls, it’s accurate after RCT balls 😊 all you have to do is put the metallic dot on the balls and you’re good to go 🤷🏼♂️ don’t get me wrong, you get less miss reads with RCT balls… but the trick I have up my sleeve with miss reads… just delete them from the data pool and re-hit it 😉

Hey man! I recently started creating content and picked up a great tip from another creator… go into your camera settings and turn off HDR… it will keep your clips the same color after exporting from your shot tracer app. If you can’t turn off HDR in your camera settings, most video editing softwares will let you turn it off it just adds another step in the process.

For the pros it's drive for show and putt for dough, for the average amateur it's the opposite. Most of us can 2 putt our way around the green but it's the driver that puts us in position to hit a short iron onto a green or get us into a lot more trouble than any putter can.
@TKGolfYT27 күн бұрын
Love this explanation! 🙌🏻 spot on!
@zahimiibrahim360228 күн бұрын
Interesting and well done, thank you. If I may add, I think a large number of mid-handicappers and seniors like me swing between 90-95mph with driver and 70-75mph with 7 iron, and that would be good swing speeds to test if you intend to do similar in future. Liked and subscribed.
@TKGolfYT22 күн бұрын
I would do another one like this in the future I think 🤔 where my test fell short was the fact I was using the same still shaft with the different swing speeds 😊 so I’ll factor that in in the future! Thank you 😊

One thing to note according to my golf spy lab results: "None of the balls in the sample fell under the USGA’s minimum diameter standard. All met our standard for roundness. Size consistency across the sample was average. Five of the Trust Bison V balls in our sample exceeded the USGA’s weight limit of 1.62 ounces and therefore were flagged as “Bad.” You may be asking yourself, “What is the significance of a heavier ball?” It’s physics. A slightly heavier ball has more potential energy and therefore can offer a distance advantage to efficient, high swing speed players in the form of higher kinetic energy. If the USGA had purchased the same sample we did, the Bison V might not be on the conforming list." So if you plan on doing any tournaments then these balls may get you penalized or a DQ.

A very interesting comment to read 🤔 it feels very much like these problems can be ironed out with tweaks and better processed in manufacturing 😊 Similar to Callaway with their off centre cores not too long ago 😊

Potentially 🤔 I think the biggest thing I found between the two drivers were that miss hits with the ping were more forgiving, but spun a lot more. Overall, pulls excluded, the ai smoke was longer, the ping was more forgiving. I did enjoy hitting the Callaway more though 👀
