Jack is so important to music and has inspired so many others. Their music hit like they were the peacocks in the zoo. It was and is beautiful and almost hypnotic. And hey my favorite Wang Chung tune is Hypnotize Me so that's perfect. Great interview!

I SO appreciate you watching and sharing such kind words, thank you!! It took me a while to get past "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" and dig deeper into the catalog, but when I did I really appreciated all they had done. And Jack is such a beautiful soul. He's such a pleasant guy to talk with. I hope to have him on the show again soon! Thank you very much for watching!

I met her a while back at a show. I wanted a picture with her but she acted like i was a weirdo but i got a pic with her and bought a cd from her. I like there music but she could be a little more respectful toward her desiacated fans.

Wow. This is really surprising to hear. I have seen Maggie a few times and she has always been caring and kind with fans, staff, and everyone. I’m thinking there may have been something that happened earlier that spooked her or made her cautious, perhaps. It’s unfortunate that your encounter with her was less than expected. She really is a good person with a wonderful heart. I hope you get to experience that at some point. Thanks for watching the interview and respectfully sharing your thoughts.

Absolutely agree with Matt about GO. Great album. How many bands got screwed by A&R guys leaving or getting fired back then? Execs leaving or moving, etc. Matt is just one of those dudes. Talent for days. I've enjoyed everything he puts out, esp the short doc when Neil plays on Instamatic. I was supposed to open for Matt / Vertical Horizon many moons ago but the show got canceled. (Somebody was sick if I remember right) Mad respect for Matt and his hopefully continued songwriting and career 🎸🔊🎵🎶

Both records are equally good, one just adds up to another. I listen to both of them as one album, and there's not a single filler, all great songs, the whole album has natural flow, the music is the best I've heard for decades. Really fresh, inspiring, stirs up imagination as the real music should, love every bit of it. Glad to see both guys wearing Dio shirts - Ronnie James Dio has always been my No.1 favorite singer and my inspiration 💖 ))

The formula for a typical Sweet record, well back in the 70s was next to Andy`s guitar sound and the harmonies definitely Micks drums! They sound so rich up to maybe "Off The Record" - I always suspect it was some recipe they adapted from early producer Phil Wainman as he was a drummer himself.

Goodness, this interview is one of the few pieces of info I could find involving this album. I saw a youtube short with just a few seconds of play from the song 'Nuclear Winter' and I used Shazam to find the title; Less that 300 people used shazam to find this song, that's how obscure it is. This appears to be an instance where only one or 2 publishers were givin rights to the album. There are garage bands who sould like static on tape recorder with more coverage on youtube 😓
@DrMusicInterviewsАй бұрын
Glad to know that you found "Nuclear Winter," Larry, and High Plains Drifters. It's strange how some HPD songs have done much better than others. 500K and 600K on two other songs on Spotify, and a mere 16K on "Nuclear Winter". And then you have the "The One That Got Away" video on KZbin which has more than 3.5 million views! It's interesting. Hope you enjoyed the interview!
@jonnyv5428Ай бұрын
@DrMusicInterviews I feel like a big dummy now. The group had a link to this interview in their channel, but I didn't realize KZbin hid the 'releases' section from Public Searches. It took me half an hour searching their channel and online. Typing in 'nuclear winter the high plains drifters' gets you nothing but Clint Eastwood movies. I eventually found the song hidden in there 'Releases' section. I could only find the song on Apple Music, but I had to pay, so I kept searching. I wish more artists realized this and just posted to videos and linked albums in their playlists..

Saw Bobbie Dazzle live recently. I really enjoyed the show but I was very struck by the potential of what this could become 3 or 4 albums in, because I still hear those elements of that folk / prog / doom in some parts ..... it didn't feel like Football Terrace Glam like Giuda, ..... it was more like Wickerman Glam to me.

Many rock singers losing their voices because of singing in the high pitch. They end up damaging their vocal chords like Cinderella's Tom Keifer, AeroSmith's Stephen Tyler, Bon Jovi's Jon Bon Jovi.

Dan, your kind words mean so very much to me. Thank you! I am always very self conscious, and always fearful of not pleasing the fans. Marc really is a sweet guy that is so very generous with his time. It was a great honor and pleasure to have him as a guest. I do spend a lot of time trying to come up with something a little deeper, and you noticing and so kindly appreciating that really makes me happier than you’ll ever know. Thank you so much for your kindness and support!🤗
