I just discovered these uploads. I enjoy them, yet I often multitask when videos play. This habit is especially hard when trying to follow this series because too many of the men sound exactly the same. I therefore wonder if these upload’s speeds and coloring altered. The voices seem slurred and the coloring is a bit too unnaturally dark. I will now search for this unfamiliar series. They remind me of the classic short but very classy Belgium investigator!🕵🏽…😉!

Brilliant idea but much too long winded. Got bored and went to the end half way through.

I'm glad Doyly didn't participate in this Political correctness B.S of racist anti-white propaganda that is the ONLY stupid reason this production was put out here. Sheesh.

Where or How did this man come up with such great numerous mysterious ideas of Sherlock Holmes, by Arthur Conan Doyle, the answer might come from this movie. 🤔Thanks KZbin the story of Himself, 4-21-24

'Arthur And George' (1995) or (2015)?.***** Oh dear!!! Time has caught up with Martin in this movie, as it does with all of us. (Hope he's okay, he looks a little haggerd and worn out... which has carried over into 2024). This film was intense, it kept me on the edge of my chair & Martin Clunes did this movie proud. Wasn't aware that Conan Doyle had so much controversy around him, I wouldn't have blamed him if in the end he had no patience for anyone except his wife & his closest circle of friends. Martin Clunes 4Ever, very good actor with many good movies through the years. ♡☆

I love movies like this; period English whodunnits and Sherlock Holmes. They come out with these great serials and then abandon them after only a season or less. I can't imagine that between all of the English speaking countries there isn't enough support to keep them going. 😢

The captions are not done by a human, but they are auto translate which is provided based upon computer recognition. It has helped me to increase the speed to 1.25. Perhaps you would prefer to read the book?

@trilbywilby7826 It helped me quite a lot to increase the playback speed to 1.25 or 1.5. I’m not sure, but it seems that the person who posted this did some things like slowing down the playback speed, muffling the voices, darkening the image. These type of alterations are often done in an attempt to avoid a copyright strike.

So many things in the world I dislike at present but this is decidedly not one of them. This makes me proud to be British. What outstanding, quality acting. I was literally transported into the story. I shall be very disappointed if this does not go down in history as 'A Classic'.

It amazes me to read the crybaby complaints in this feed. You are watching a program that is downloaded on KZbin . Gezzzz folks. I want to thank you sharing this great program. I have never heard of this before watching this. I found it a stellar storyline and , the cast was amazing, acting Devine, and set and costumes top notch. I personally enjoyed it.

It amazes me when I come across hateful people commenting like you, completely ignorant of the fact that your playback results depend entirely upon what device you are using. You are also evidently prejudiced against people who have vision and hearing impairments. The uploads of this series on this channel were seriously altered, darkened and the audio track muddled with at least a changed speed. The person who uploaded this video made these changes in an effort to avoid a copyright strike from KZbin on his channel. If these changes do not impact you, you should rather be thankful instead of criticizing those of us who are having a difficult time. Another thing to consider is, perhaps your device automatically corrects these changes; and I can tell you that is definitely NOT the case for many of us!!

More like Arthur and Woody. It wld have been better if each episode was a diff story, from beg. to end. This one plot goes on and on. Only Martin C. keeps it going

The story is based on a real historic incident where a sir Arthur Conan Doyle helped George Edalji be declared innocent and recover his legal license. I believe they were trying to be true to history, and show the details enough to explain what really happened.

God forbid you didnt have money or had a famous writer backing you in those days, like Shaw or Dickins, especially in a small town, with the local police. And lf you were foreign, you were doomed. No wonder they stopped the death penalty. Too many innocents hung. But now, Englands pendulum swung too far left and even serial rapists n murderers are out in 12 yrs. Smh

Try increasing the speed. Try x 1.25 speed, and x 1.5 speed. I believe either the soundtrack is degrading from age, or else perhaps it was artificially slowed down in an effort to evade copyright? I can understand it better, but the picture is so dark it’s hard to understand everything that’s happening. I may just need to read the book.

America was also guilty early on of using so called "self-proclaimed-specialists... hence many later released because not guilty or not really proven by today's standard... articles indicted the notably many are really a small exception... but I've known several I absolutely knew were innocent & Vice President Harris prosecuted many for possession of Marijuana.

For those who don't know M.T. Martin Clunes: Only recently discovered him; was looking for Arthur & George last Oct. (Thanks). I finally learned I hadn't recognized him because he changed so: He was in various series & Movies including: Rising Damp, Men Behaving Badly, two Doc Martin Movies (I only successfully found one: Dr. Martin & the Clothie... and the Doc Martin series, especially important because of increased awareness... autism spectrum & savants. He's an avid Horseman & Dog Fancier... The reason they put dogs in his series--his were often caught on film, but his weren't used professionally. Reminds of He's involved in various charities including Parkinson, animals, etc.

Pls don't forget Saving Grace and the long running series of Doc Martin. His involvement with the BHS, Showing Shire horses, rescuing horses and donkeys etc etc is well documented. If you meet him, he is a good natured, caring human being with a fantastic sense of humour, a thoroughly decent person. A family man who gets on with life instead of seeking publicity for himself.

Refer to an example of Fawlty Tower's: The Colonel's version of what "WE CALLED" dark skinned from India... vs. West Indies. Agatha Christy didn't understand why some of her titles had to be changed for various markets, especially America's. For example, refer to original title of Christy's Ten Little Indians. (Film: "And Then There Were None".) To her credit, years later she came to understand, and was apologetic.

It’s probably the aging source, the soundtrack is changed a bit overtime. I recommend you adjust the playback speed to 1.25 and then try 1.5 speed, and see if that helps. It certainly helped me!
