This is a great example of visual story telling. I can (more or less) imagine how this would go if it was a 12-13 EP anime. I mean that as high praise. In 4 min he goes trough a whole hero's journey at a good pace. Masterful.

@ Everyone looks at things diffrently but.. Not sure about why Avatar and Power Rangers come to mind. Star Wars and MC's is the same as Lukes path in A New Hope Fpr Power Rangers it seems Purely based on the fact they are a team. which is nothing new or different. I'm interested if you could elaborate further on why those 2 unless it's your default point of reference for you about these things.

@@EinherjarV well being a team is important to why I look at it like that due in part to the manner in which they are a team. They are color coded and very techy in a way reminiscent of power rangers but they all also have more distinct designs that would be indicative of their personalities like avatar. The video also has very strong power of friendship vibes with a big emphasis on hope with a main character that relies heavily on his team to get by which both avatar and power rangers has. I know that non of these things are “unique” to those shows but they are very important to their iconography and vibe.

This reminds me so powerfully of Brandon Sanderson's Skyward series. The same idea of a young girl finding an alien ship. A team like this brigade fending off oppresive aliens, but in a team-focused, semi-light hearted way. This was really charming! I encourage those who enjoyed this animation to check out those books. I might do just that once I finish what's in my current reading list.
