Gen z might be the most boring and lame generation since the puritans.
@Dushmann_13 күн бұрын
GenZ men are the first generation ever to be more right wing than their parents, which means that GenZ men are usually very anti-political correctness. GenZ political and racial humor is extremely funny actually, especially in the context of today's social climate. If you only watched mainstream news, you'd assume that GenZ were very puritanical and leftist, but that's not true at all.

You're just too young and so your generation hasn't developed its own identity and sense of humor yet. Just wait another maybe 6 - 10 years, then your generations humor will be the zeitgeist and it'll almost certainly be even weirder than GenZ humor.

Uhh, guy.. The show is litterally called Tim AND Eric. Two guys. Eric wrote as much of the show and invented the humor with Tim. Must be a milennial thing.

It's not new. The origin is sites like ytmnd, 4chan, even KZbin around the mid-2000s. Gen Z still riffs on memes from that era. I constantly go back to classic videos from 16 years ago and see some zoomer commenting "ahead of its time 💀" but it was my high school years.
@jurycould4275Ай бұрын
What a load of… All of those are typical of millennial humour. However, Gen Z is incredibly aggressive towards older gens and will argue in favour of almost anything if that’s what it takes to be anti. In a similar way what they deem funny, often has nothing to do with the meme itself or any circumstances, it’s simply that something has to be funny at the end of the day. So when they are done taking their turns, whatever is left is simply deemed funny. Hence the meaningless jokes. Truely the trashiest generation of all time. It’s like a gen got excreted into reality and everyone told them that sadly there’s nothing unique left for them to do and now they have no idea what to do with themselves… 😂
@stoogelАй бұрын
It seems every generation takes what they like from previous generations and leaves them holding the cringe bag. It's a travesty the Redditors were allowed to define "Millennial humor" as if Chuck Norris and "hurrurr potato so random xD" was the peak of memes in 2004. Meanwhile every great old video I return to has some zoomer commenting "ahead of its time" under it now.

@jeu-de-paumeАй бұрын
All the trends you're describing (humor as something absurdist, subversive, not making any sense, random) started already in the early 2000s Internet culture. In general, this tendency to draw a strict line separating generations and their culture is mega dumb
