What's your favorite beautiful game?
@papatubez3062Ай бұрын
The light that comes with the game (which is mandatory) comes broken. You can change out the batteries but its extremely fiddly to do so requiring you to touch the circuit board with your fingers and possibly need to re-solder parts. Not worth the trouble. Lots of complaints about this out there which is why I assume this was not for sale on amazon (because it would get very bad reviews). Get ready to use a flashlight and a stopwatch in order to play. This game was not ready to launch in the state it was in due to the design failure of the light. I have yet to see a reviewer address this problem, yet consumers all seem to have it. The instructions say there is an app that you can download if the light fails but that app is no longer available to download.

I've just started to get into modern tabletop gaming, and Codex Naturalis was the first game I bought new. Based on nothing but a couple of reviews and an interest in the subject matter, I decided to take a chance. I played a familiarisation game with myself today (as two players) and my first impressions are quite positive. I think I agree with everything you said in your excellent review - particularly about the suitability of the game for young players as I actually found I kept forgetting about the objectives and mostly placed cards based on their individual points value. Even so, I imagine (or at least hope) my multitasking gameplay will improve with practice! I expect to play a four player game with friends in the near future, and I hope the game holds up. Thanks for your video, it was a good little watch 👍

One thing that diehard pyramid-heads will be driven to this for is that this is the only place that the gray pyramids are available in their newer form. Even before pyramid arcade, grey pyramids were hard to come by, so it's nice to have access to a previously rare color. Since I own 2 copies of Pyramid arcade, I now have far too many clear/black/white pyramids now though :D

I didn't know the grey pyramids were hard to find! I still prefer the other colors though :P

Thanks! We're all about playing games as a family - with and without our kids. Our goal is to show that in all our videos, and also pinpoint who will most enjoy each game.

Bring the camera back. Why are you smooshed together? Their is uncertain, almost implied weirdness. Christ your bordering on parody. Your format is so distracting. After a third viewing I could follow and it seems like you did a good job but then again it’s a gamers go fish.
