First half we looked good, second half one word - frustrating. Enzo makes some good passes but most come to nothing in terms of cutting through defenses, but maybe he needs time. Yes it’s sad we let Conor go he was our engine in the middle and unlike Enzo could tackle. Also loaning Chalobah out another massive mistake. I feel this team is starting to cook and learning what Maresca wants, it’s going to take a few more games to settle. Jackson is improving and he’s a great link up player. We didn’t look anywhere as sharp as against Wolves and there wasn’t any flow to our game,we were struggling tactically and that’s down to Maresca. The ref bottled it with Hughes foul on Cole it was a red card all day! All in all I’m happy with a point but it should have been 3.

As much as I appreciate your point of view as a long term fan representing the history of the club, but I do think match goers should try support the team at home while we try defend our goal. I do think even though it costs a lot to go Stamford bridge and you spent your hard earned money, that there’s no use booing so soon in the season. Keep it up. There's no evidence the regime's approach is going to work and It seems to me that fans that were around in the 90s or before are far less likely to believe it will. The club just keeps going backwards. How many of the current team would even make the 97 cup final winning side? I can't see any of Le Beouf, Petrescu, Wise, Di Matteo, Zola and Hughes not improving the current eleven.

Maresca’s high line and playing out from the back is proving to be a struggle, the transition from defense to attack needs to be way faster. We have learned a lot from pre season so going into this game we should be way better prepared against City. I’m not a fan of Maresca’s style of football but I have to except it. To be honest if we allow him time even if we hit a bad run of games but this is Chelsea and unfortunately like a moth to the flame we create drama off the pitch that overshadows what matters and that’s the football. I also would be happy with a draw. It’s good to start your season at home so hopefully the players will be up for it. He proably just upset that he's been playing well and not made a fuss and they have constantly put him in the shop window regardless. A player that has come through the academy will usually give you an extra inch on the field if they have that affinity with the club. It's all about money now not winning and making money just making money, as shown with Petrovic & Sanchez as in ones value went up as he played fairly well & the others went down because he was awful. Yet the bad one is meant to be the starter and the good one is supposedly up for sale smh the circus continues........

I was 8 years old when we won the World Cup in 66 and if you you had told me that we still would not have a trophy again 58 years later it would have been unthinkable. Southgate needs to step down and we need a fresh manager with the World Cup on the horizon. Oh well maybe we can win something before I kick the bucket. 😢

I don’t expect anything different from Southgate. It’s up to the players to make it work. Kane will start which is expected and Watkins and Palmer will only be subbed in if we are behind in the second half. I would love to see us go all out from the start and load up on Spain like we did first half against the Netherlands but I feel Southgate will not do this against Spain. Southgate has the mentality of not losing rather than being progressive and going for it when the opportunity is there. The players in both games didn’t seem to have a system or real game plan and that’s down to Southgate. I’m certain if Sir Alex or Klopp were managing these players they would have intent and a fire under them. Southgate has to make some changes and get a solid performance tomorrow. Kane will start. As you all said it can’t get any worse! Oh and being a Chelsea fan of course I want to see him give some minutes to Palmer! 🏴
