One thing I like about the lines through London is there are so many mixed freight trains moving through here. Some railfan cams I watch seem like they are 80 to 85% container trains.

Hi! Please tell me how to download the free working version of TD 3? Where I won't look. everywhere there are only corrupted files, and then on TD2. And you had videos with TD3 running, did you buy them or what? It is the application itself, not the maps to it. Thank you!
It doesn't sound like any 645e3 turbo because it is running at constant speed only variable prime movers make that noise

Hi Tyler; This is a pretty cool simulation. I am familiar with almost all of the territory covered in your dispatcher display board so it is nice to see it so thoroughly shown. Nice work bro. James/FFV.

@Guillotines_For_Globalists5 жыл бұрын
Had a train come through like that earlier this year or last. Was so loud it made me jump up out of bed. Possibly much louder than this. People in the community were asking if it was some sort of siren. I thought it might have been a partially stuck horn, but this was exactly it, perhaps not quite the volume intensity but the sound itself was identical.
@mbta10514 жыл бұрын
It happens more frequently then you would think!! Many years ago there was a CSX SD70 (4787 I think) that terrorized all of Berkshire County MA. They initially thought it was a UFO, broken siren, stuck horn, or just a giant leaf blower as it could be heard throughout the county!

I remember at one one place where I lived, the nearest railroad was at least a few km away, could hear this sound loud and clear, it’s amazing how much this sound carries.

Is that as a lot of weight of the wagons require more force and the engines of those locomotives work fast and that makes it move fast
@dieseltrainfreek7 жыл бұрын
it's the cooling fan you can hear !
@Kentucky_Trainiac7 жыл бұрын
dieseltrainfreek It's mainly the Turbocharger, but the cooling fans contribute to some of the noise.
@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER5 жыл бұрын
Definitely mainly the turbocharger, the Globe aftermarket turbos have a distinct howl, but the fans do add to the noise also.
@JaZu4 жыл бұрын
Yes, cooling fans. I really don’t understand why people think the turbos are causing that “howl” I have literally been on an overpass and witnessed them on start up.
@floridianrailauto90324 жыл бұрын
It's the alternator. Watch a video of some NS SD70s passing right next to the camera at a slow speed. You'll quickly realize that noise isn't coming from the exhaust and it's not coming from the radiator fans either
