people will have more pressure on one side than the other often because something has given them a pelvic tilt. Missing teeth, inflammation in the legs and feet, many other things you wouldn't expect cause the brain to lose orientation and the body produces a sympathetic response, trying to compensate for the brain that doesnt know where it is. Pelvis tilts, ribs flare, then shoulders go offset, and that offset pressure feeds right there into the back of the neck where those gall bladder points live.

Thanks for sharing. I’m 29. years old and have unfortunately torn my ACL on my left knee for the second time after having ACL reconstruction surgery 8 years ago. I really don’t want to do surgery again and I haven’t had the chance to see a physio yet. When should I be doing these exercises and how often? Average recommendation is all good, appreciate advice can’t be tailored for each individual
@kinetichealthonline
@kinetichealthonline 8 күн бұрын
Hello @mrmivisuals, Thanks for watching! Unfortunately, I can’t provide specific advice without performing a full physical examination or taking your medical history. However, it’s great that you’re considering exercises post-ACL injury. In general, consistency is key. Most rehab protocols for ACL injuries involve strengthening and mobility exercises performed several times a week. If you haven’t seen a physio or medical physician yet, I recommend connecting with one soon to create a personalized plan tailored to your current condition. In the meantime, gentle range-of-motion and strengthening exercises can often be beneficial, but always listen to your body and avoid movements that cause pain. Best of luck with your recovery! Hello, thank you for watching our video and sharing your experience. I'm sorry to hear about the discomfort you're facing. While I can't provide specific medical advice without a physical examination, many people find that myofascial release techniques can help alleviate muscle tightness, including in the piriformis muscle. Additionally, we offer a range of articles on musculoskeletal conditions, including disc issues, which you might find helpful. I have both tarsal tunnel syndrome and a mild case of plantar fasciitis in both feet. Is it possible to do the tibial nerve flossing on both sides? Physical therapists believe strengthening the feet is the only solution without any interventions. They actually are making things worse. I feel I need to resolve the nerve component. Please let me know if this tibial nerve flossing is good for both feet?
@kinetichealthonline
@kinetichealthonline 9 күн бұрын
Hello Robertasalvo1077, Thank you for watching! Unfortunately, I can't offer specific advice or comment on individual cases without conducting a full physical examination and medical history. However, tibial nerve flossing can often be a helpful technique to promote nerve mobility, especially when nerve entrapments, such as in tarsal tunnel syndrome, are present. You can generally perform nerve flossing exercises bilaterally (on both feet), but it’s essential to perform these exercises correctly to avoid aggravating your symptoms. That said, combining nerve flossing with strengthening exercises may help address both the nerve and mechanical aspects of the issue, though the exact approach should be personalized based on your condition. I would recommend consulting a healthcare provider who can evaluate your situation fully and guide you through an individualized program. All the best, Dr. Brian Abelson DC

Hello, thanks for watching! Unfortunately, I cannot give specific advice or comment on individual cases without performing a physical examination and taking a complete history. That said, the symptoms you mentioned, such as knee buckling, weakness, and numbness, could be related to femoral nerve involvement. I recommend working closely with your healthcare provider to explore all possible contributing factors. A comprehensive evaluation and possibly further diagnostic tests might help identify the underlying cause, especially since the EMG didn’t show clear results. Wishing you the best in finding a resolution! Dr. Brian Abelson DC

So currently I deep breathe to relax, drink electrolytes snd take calmag. Happens when we have high temperature weather. I pressed some areas to try and release it. Is there anything else you recommend? I exercise regularly and at work I do around 23K to 30K steps per shift. TIA

Hello Diana, thank you for watching and sharing your experience! Unfortunately, I cannot provide specific advice or recommendations for individual cases without conducting a full physical examination and obtaining a complete health history. However, it's great that you're staying active and trying different strategies like deep breathing, electrolyte balancing, and muscle release techniques. For general information, femoral nerve entrapment can sometimes cause symptoms similar to what you're describing. It's important to stay mindful of any factors that may contribute to nerve compression, such as prolonged sitting or activities that may stress the hip or thigh area. Consulting with a healthcare professional who can assess your situation in person is always a good idea, especially for persistent issues. Stay well! Dr. Brian Abelson, DC

Hi Brian, We are from India. My fiance is a young dentist and has had numbness in her little finger because of the stresses on her wrist and her elbow. Her little finger is a somewhat clawed right now. The clawing near-immediately reduces after a few stretches. The stretches are causing sharp pain in the little finger and below the pisiform region WHILE doing these exercises. The pain goes away after stopping the exercise. Is this normal? Regardless, thank you so much because I think even if there is pain, it's a good sign because she can't wasn't feeling anything in her pinky finger till that point.

@kinetichealthonline 12 күн бұрын
Hello, thank you for watching and for sharing your fiancée's experience! I understand your concerns regarding the numbness and clawing in her little finger. While it's encouraging that she’s experiencing some sensation, it's important to remember that sharp pain during nerve-related exercises can sometimes be a sign of irritation. I always recommend consulting with a healthcare professional who can conduct a thorough physical exam and review her medical history to determine the appropriate course of action, especially if there's pain during exercises. General nerve flossing or mobilization techniques are beneficial for many people, but they should be done with caution. Discomfort shouldn't be extreme, and stretches should ideally be performed in a way that doesn’t aggravate the nerve further. I suggest discussing her symptoms with a healthcare provider who can tailor an approach specifically for her needs. Thank you again for reaching out, and I wish you and your fiancée the best in her recovery! Dr. Brian Abelson, DC

Hello, thank you for watching and for your question! Unfortunately, I cannot provide specific advice or comment on individual cases without a thorough examination and detailed history. In general, the recovery of a partial ACL tear can depend on several factors, including the severity of the tear, age, activity level, and overall health. Some individuals may experience improvement with conservative treatments such as physical therapy and strengthening exercises, while others may require more intervention. I recommend consulting a healthcare professional who can assess your specific condition and guide you on the best course of action. Thank you again, and I wish you the best in your recovery! Thank you for posting this valuable information! I’ve suffered with sciatic nerve pain for 14.5 years! No one has ever heard of this before, & it’s not in medical literature, but a paraspinous ligament grew into my sciatic nerve! It did not show up on MRI so I went without surgery for 6 months. This is why I have permanent nerve damage. I found a wonderful chiropractor that did acupuncture & manipulation & that is why I have as much healing as I do. However, since it’s been 14.5 years I know I have some adhesions & I’m going to ask my chiropractor to use this technique on me. Thank you again!

@kinetichealthonline
@kinetichealthonline 16 күн бұрын
The term "Odessa Branch" is not a standard anatomical reference, but if you are referring to a specific branch of nerves in the neck, it's possible you're discussing the lesser occipital nerve or another branch of the cervical plexus, which supplies sensation to areas around the head, neck, and shoulders. The SCM muscle is innervated by the accessory nerve (cranial nerve XI) for motor control, but it has functional and anatomical relationships with other nearby nerves, including sensory nerves like the lesser occipital nerve.

Thanks for watching. The Robin's Branch refers to a fascial expansion or anatomical connection involving the sternocleidomastoid (SCM) muscle. Specifically, it is a small fascial extension that connects the sternocleidomastoid muscle to the platysma muscle in the neck region. This connection plays a role in the complex interplay of neck, jaw, and facial movements. I often talk about the neck jaw, fascial connections in our courses. Cheers!
