They Need to Remake Blood Omen 1 & Remaster 2 - if Tyrel is gonna be in SR -1 : you can’t kill him due to Defiance - but neat to see. Still , in the top 5 of my fav. game series of all time - along with Castlevania, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Dragon Age - (OG trilogy ) 😎

As far as this statue goes they made it look like it did on the PS2 in the original games

So, they couldn't reintegrate the cut content into the main game...

I didn't think I'd ever play these games again I thought they' was gone forever can't wait December 10th only difference is this time around there will be no need to buy a strategy guide for $14 at GameStop

This is literally how classic game preservation should work. I only hope there's no weird stuff on release, like the previous version of the Water glyph statue, now fixed. The only thing missing for the perfect preservation effort is a physical version.

As an old head I'ma say it. PS1 graphics were always bad. We all agreed that N64 had graphics, PS1 had serious games.

I played Soul Reaver 1 as a kid on my Dreamcast and I never got very far. I'm so excited to play these again as my first PS5 game

I really hope they decide make a blood omen 3 ! People would love to have all the vampiric powers that kain has . And imagine that with the graphics we have these days . That would be so great . And I believe it would make millions !

The upscale graphics is just right and just enough to keep the retro feel and look. Im definitely buying for the collection and can't wait to play

I know some people aren't too thrilled about the remaster, they don't see it as that much of an improvement; and I think they expected a lot more than was realistic. The remaster is pretty drastic, but without completely evolving past the original art design and character models. If we're all being frank, the early 3d modeling of games like Soul Reaver on PS1 were really, really rough to behold with the eyes. After being spoiled with so many more modern releases, going back to try to play Soul Reaver is like watching TV while someone throws sharp gravel in your eyes. The models look so much more detailed and smoothed out now, so I'm pretty excited if even that's all we get. As long as the game is well optimized and doesn't run somehow worse than the originals, this will be a good remaster. I don't know how these companies do it, remaster a game that's so poorly optimized on hardware and software support that should have no problem at all handling it. Looking at you Star Wars: Battlefront remaster. I think Soul Reaver was the better choice to hit first too even from a technical plausibility standpoint, because the general design of the game is a lot easier to approach for a remaster. I think you nearly have to redesign the original Blood Omen from the ground up to do a proper remaster. I'm a die hard Kain fan, I am here for Kain, but Soul Reaver was still the place to start.

Is blood omen 1 coming aswell? I dont like soul reaver , blood omen 1 is for me the only game and i prefer the good ending , so its a good and complete story .

They need a remake of Blood Omen 1 and a remaster of Blood Omen 2. Blood Omen, one needs to be brought to the 3D world setup. And then, finally, a remaster of Legacy of Kain Defiance. After that is done then they can make all the games that were canceled.

I don't think the statue was ever less feminine. It was just a different woman's figure. It still looks like a woman. Just less like a high angelic fantasy sexy feminine. The new statue on the other hand is definitely a big improvement. It really portrays its self as goddess offering power and she SHOULD be beautiful just like something with the power of fire should be more intimidating.

The thing about the Turel boss cut from SR1 if that ended up being a suprise cut content available now that's gonna also reshape how a future Defiance remaster plays out this would kinda open the doors for other scenarios of cut content for defiance to take the placement of the whole turel boss segment which could be interesting,As for the combat system i doubt it will change too much for lore purposes and probably for the better to as it could cause some bugs nevertheless i too can't wait for these remasters

Oh this takes me back. Faustus - was pretty easy from whet I remember however the other 3 i used to forget what exactly to do in their fights especially magnus i would always get instant killed by his attack,Marcus the first half of the fight is ok but once he goes to the second floor catching him is very annoying and sometimes i died to the stupid priest enemies that are shooting the crossbow,Sabastian i actually had forgot how that fight even looks until i seen this video. These boss fights were quite something
