Question. I'm buying a 76 Marquis, how did you hook up the tach and other gauges?

There are a lot of good videos out there.
@lookingthroughice78435 ай бұрын
Ugliest year for marques, and why the extra gauges. Also ugly colour. I had a 71 with the 429 cobra jet a much nicer ride and sleeker look in 2 door. Yours is a pile of junk.

NOT A COLD START!! ITS NEEDS 4-6 TIMES TO START!
@RelicToWreck8 ай бұрын
Needs a bad accelerator pump, sticky starter solenoid and stale fuel, but even then the beast will roar.
@michaeltutty15408 ай бұрын
Why would it need 4-6 tries before it would start? It had been running just a few days before. These car were designed to work in temperatures below -40.

@@michaeltutty1540, a crummy carb would make it a cranker video. However, the car in the video starts and runs excellent.

My first car was a 76 Mercury Montego MX. "400M" actually 351 Cleveland. I don't know what gears were in the rear end, but when I'd "mat it", the trans wouldn't shift to 2nd till the speedo showed 52mph. At 100 on the open interstate, she cruised like nobody's business. She was yellow with a shit brown interior. I've wished a million times that I still had that old car. She got about 6 gallons to the mile. ;)

hehe the reason i can tell that, is because i know that certain sound all too well... My truck had that and i didn't have the time to take off my y pipe and put a new one on because the flanges on my y pipe were so rusted they were paper thin and bronke so i had nothing to clamp the ypipe up to the manifolds.lol.
