Ok so lets say you have 0 armour, and you get aa for 200 damage, both mit and damage taken will go up by 200, now lets say in that situation, instead you have 50 armour, and the aa does 150 damage, the self mit will still go up by 200, but however the damage taken will only go up by 150. Basically self mit is the “true total amount of damage taken” and damage taken, is the amount your healthbar lowered through the game A common slang people use for self mitigated damage is “mit”, remember it, as mitigated damage is a way better statistic than mit I hope this was helpful

Also damage calculation is way different than i said, the auto attack probably deals like 138 or 162 or something idk, armour isnt a flat calculation i just kinda made some numbers

Damage taken: the damage that you actually took in the game after all damage reductions applied (basically how much hp you lost in total). Self mitigated damage: how much more extra damage you would have taken if you had nothing to reduce the damage (no armour, magic res, heals etc). So if an auto attack would do 100 damage if you had 0 armor but only does 32 damage because you had high armor, this counts as 32 damage taken, 68 mitigated damage.
