I love the part where the monk explains that the feather isn’t directly on the mountain but on the other side (0:35). This subtle twist feels like such a powerful metaphor for life! We often think the hardest part is getting started, but the real reward and growth are found by pushing beyond what we initially see as possible. Beautiful story and lesson!

Nah, the truth is the monk was even lazier and decided to feed all that nonsense to that easy Prey guy because he couldn't be arsed to get the feather himself, what a sucker that guy is.

For me, the key takeaway is that having a meaningful goal or something exciting to look forward to is crucial for motivating action. It’s like setting a destination for a journey; knowing where you’re headed ignites a fire within you to start moving. Whether it’s pursuing a passion or focusing on personal growth, that sense of purpose creates momentum and makes every step feel worthwhile. Without it, it’s easy to feel lost, but once you discover what truly excites you, taking that leap becomes much easier! 🌟✨

Another powerful tool in overcoming overthinking is cultivating self-compassion often our thoughts spiral into negative self talk by treating ourselves with kindness and compassion we can break this cycle
@PhysicsandChemistrysimplifiedАй бұрын
It is imp to recognise that overthinking often arises from a desire of control and certainty .we try to analyse every possible outcome seeking gurantees in an uncertain world but the truth is life is ever changing and unpredictable ,we cannot control every aspect of our existence but we can control how we rspond to it . Practicing mindfulness and being in present is key to quietening a rstless mind .we learn to observe our thoughts without judgement . ‼️

Not a very intelligent story. The motivation for the young man was greed. He was greedy to get the feather, something outside of himself, nothing inner. And the monks are not a good exam play to overcome laziness. They are the most lazy people, just sitting in their monastery, getting everything for free. Let other people work and plant the rice, we eat it for free.
