Ok Geramie, I will try to help you out with this but I know that you have your own way of doing things but I will try bc I met you at the Crappie Expo at Grizzly Jig or whatever earlier this year and anytime I or anyone tries to make suggestions to you pros yall always come back with some bs answer so here goes!! Order some Fish Monkey Wool fishing gloves and get yourself some Lacrosse 1600 grain hunting boots and a cloth Buff neck gaiter and of course a good toboggan and some toe warmers and 2 super hand warmers in each pocket and I guarantee you will be warm down to 35 degrees and you also can get a small buddy heater if you want to and least but not last a Tidewe heated vest off of Amazon and I guarantee you will not be cold!!! Take it or leave it young man but that’s what I do it WORKS BRO!!! Good luck!!! 😊😊😊

Why throw the fish off the back of the boat and not want it to go right back? I seen that on a Whitey Outlaw video I think and his reason was not wanting human scent and the school smelling the fish he threw back.
@CrappieMonster3 күн бұрын
I believe they emit a scent or something that shuts the whole school down.

Really enjoyed your Utah LaUnfortunately Utah lake does not have any shad !! The only place's in Utah that have shad are Willard Bay ( up north by Ogden) and Lake Powell. Shad cannot be put in Utah Lake due to the "endangered" June Sucker ( which SUCKS ) so the only forage in the lake are young of the year WB and insects. What you are seeing are the WB sucking midge larvae off the surface as the hatch off the bottom.

That’s interesting, thanks for the explanation.

Utah lake’s walleye population has been noticeably dropping over the past 20 years because nowadays it seems every big female caught is never released no matter the time of year, especially during the spawn. I understand these were your first walleye but in the future just consider releasing the big females. Awesome video too!

I have never caught one of those either. I see people catching them next to me at Lake Hamilton in AK, while I am crappie fishing. One day. Good show bro!

Way to go guys, I sure enjoyed the video. You may not believe this but I helped build several of the mats you were fishing. We fished some of them a few weeks ago and they were not in there very good. I believe the cooler water helps bring them in there after the shad. Have a blessed day and good fishing to you. PB

I’m in Paducah and fish Barkley a lot. We’ve seen a big swing this year! Also fish southern Illinois and we hammer them over there, but KY and Barkley produces more big fish. I remember in the 90’s until 2010 or so we would switch from bass to crappie October 1 and until mid December or until it got too cold to fish we would have 900-1200 keepers. And no we didn’t keep them all. After 2010 if we caught 100 we would be doing good. Now it’s making a big swing for the good
