It would be great to start a discussion forum for this book. Would anyone join into a conversation about their thoughts/reactions, etc.? We can pick apart specific aspects - from the style choices, including vocabulary and syntax, to the abrupt change of voice to messages, themes, etc. Perhaps I should be the one to start it? What do you think? Podcast vs. FB posts? And, I disagree. Many short stories are near and dear to us. Who hasn't heard of The Monkey's Paw, The Most Dangerous Game, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, etc. I definitely disagree with that statement.

This is the book i lost my last respect for Claire. What she does to Jamie is unforgivibal. Not marrie John or had sex with him. But expects Jamie have to have John in his life after he came back. She is so darm selfish. How come she sets higher standards for Jamie and lower her own all the time. I dont se the "friendship" between Jamie and John as heathy

Here we are in 2024 and women in Texas denied emergency medical abortion care seeing women dying leaving their husbands and kids with no Mom all because some male politicians decided their god demanded it??? Texas, now prosecuting a doctor who tried to help a woman? Two Texas women, two in Georgia dead. Those are the only ones being reported. The husband will now pay more for childcare, and play Mommie And daddie while working and caring for the kids left with no mom. Smart thinking Texas and the Majority of States Have At Least One Restriction on Health Insurance Coverage for Abortion Services. Note: As of November 6, 2024, 13 states have banned abortion (Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia).

I love his books so much, and I think I've read all that are currently out. I sought out the dancers of Botswana for my movie, Dancing Joy, because of the inspiration from this book series. The greatness of a country that is peaceful, honoring of all people, and democratic, is so wonderful. Thank you, Alexander McCall Smith.

What do you mean by...Poverty? Because more people in the us live wealthier lives than most in other countries. Not only that, the people have more power and are apart of a country that has the most power and are safe. So what do you mean by poverty? Are you just talking about the gap in the classes? Not sure. I wanna buy this book but I'm done with listening to people who want to bash the American society. This isnt an "American" problem. Its a human problem

I'm a fans to keanu after i by this book and saw he mention Alexandra Grant among those he thanked in the book. Now I regretted buying the book of elsewhere. He mentioned befor that he's writing a book for his lover, and didn't decided for who. If there's a new book, I hope he dedicates it to Jennifer memory, she was a real mother after all ❤🙏❤

Interesting how this conversation is an interview with Authur Brooks, but she will sort of challenge him on his perspectives (at certain points) , but then deflects (at other points), with a “ that’s not my thing-what do you think” retort. This “interview” says more about her than it does him; although he provided some very rich insight.

Jesus Christ that man knows how to ask questions 😅 I guess that's what makes you a great author: being able to put yourself in other people's shoes and think from their perspective. Also great answers from levy, showing just what an amazing communicator for the game he is.
