I know this is an old video but I just found out that Richard Tandy passed away earlier this year. RIP, legend, artist, mentor. One of the best bands ever!

People call him 'the fifth Beatle'. Personally I call The Beatles 'the other four Jeff Lynnes'. You've this man to thank for likely most of what you know from Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. Man's a legit fucking legend.

I'm 61 now but when I was a teenager I would listened to ELO for hours. The kids I hung with didn't get it just wasn't for them but their loss. Had and still do have every album.

Rest peacefully Richard. This shows why he was Jeff’s right hand man. That solo is goose bump inducing. You can see the musical chemistry between them. They trusted each other implicitly. They could second guess each other, even after all of that time. Just magnificent.
