I do like how the software auto generates several staging scenarios for you. Several of the other virtual staging softwares online only allow you to stage the rooms yourself with selectable room bundles and individual aesthetics. However, I'm not a fan of Virtual Staging AI's monthly/yearly subscription payment structure. There is no pay-as-you-go pricing option. If I have no vacant properties to virtually stage in any given month I lose the monthly fee, as unused credits cannot be carried over to the next moth per their information on their site. Thanks for the review Scott.

What is your feeling on buying used? Any suggestions on how to evaluate.
@scottprokopphotoАй бұрын
Buying used is tough because you don’t really know how well the person took care of the drone. I always buy new and get the DJI Refresh warranty so I know I’m covered for any problems.

Does the camera work outside? I need to accurately capture building sites and I’m looking at the matterport pro3, but apprehensive about getting into the matterport subscription

Yes this works outside perfectly. I use it to capture decks or nice back yards without any issues. You can also take a 360 image with your drone and add it to the iGuide virtual tour.

Hey Scott, super informative video! Thanks for sharing. I am deciding between a Manfrotto and the Benro tripod you're using. Are you able to tell me, how tall is this tripod (in inches) with only two leg sections extended? I'm about 5'10 and I'm looking for a tripod that stays around waist height for interiors without needing to constantly adjust the legs or centre column much.

Struggling figuring out what I should do just getting started, I have a nikon d3400 and not really sure what to upgrade to or just get the lense and upgrade down the road will have to go with a 10-24mm lense I think.

I have a Canon r10 camera and I am struggling to find a good lens for it for a while now as I have read it is cropped sensor camera so I am unsure whether the 16-35mm lens (some videos have suggested a 10-18mm lens as it might be useful for tight spaces but I could only find this lens with a f4.5-5.6). It would be great if you could suggest a appropriate lens or possibly its best investing in a new camera? Thank you :)
@pralex44775 ай бұрын
If I am on a tight budget I would go for it since a 10-18mm is like a 15-27 on a full frame But for sure it wouldn't be that wide as a 12-14mm on a FF camera. the time to gather enough a upgrade to a great FF camera. For real estate F8 is a reasonable Aperture since we want everything in focus

What's the difference between HDR MERGE on Lightroom and ENFUSE Plugin you are talking about?

Enfuse came out many years ago before Lightroom integrated HDR merge into its product. The new HDR merge works great and is easy to use and the results are great.

Please check the FAA Rules as when you make money (actually it is business purposes) from Drone photos or video you are required to have an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate. Weight of the drone only has to do with registering the drone with the FAA. The DJI Mini line is under the threshold at 249 grams so registration is not required. Great Video!

Great Video and Channel Scott, I just came across your site and I'm binge watching, lol. Many years ago I used to help a buddy out during his peak season doing Real Estate Photography, I really enjoyed it but the money wasn't great. I still have all my gear and lately I have been contemplating getting back into this line of work again or myself. I have a DJi Mavic 2 Drone and am working on my Part 107 certification. Q1. How do I get work from Realtors do I create a portfolio and knock on doors? I'd love to hear some pointers. Q2. Camera settings, there are so many options, wondering if you have video on in-camera settings for the Sony, I have the Sony A7iii. Pointers on this would be great, I'm in Omaha, Nebraska btw. Thanks in advance, Wes Mc
@ShootingRealEstate8 ай бұрын
You need to get in with the local Realtors. Go on the local Zillow and look at the photos for listings and target Realtors with crappy photos. I shoot at f/9 or f/11 which is the sweet spot for most lenses to get everything in focus. I have used the video on the Sony Cameras in the past but now the iPhone knocks it out of the park for ease of use and amazing video quality.

Thanks for this great introductory tutorial on RE photography. It’s about the only paid photography I haven’t done yet. Do you think I can get by with 20mm lens (on a full-frame camera)? It’s the widest i have at this time. Thanks again, great video!
@ShootingRealEstate10 ай бұрын
I prefer really a really wide zoom lens like the 12-24 for the versatility. A 20mm would work just great. As you get better and shoot more, think of investing in a more diverse lens so you can shoot faster.

Is it advisable to use the 24mm to 85mm as a starter

24mm is the sweet spot for architecture and real estate. The wider the better like a 12-24mm to get all those spaces.

I shifted to Sony when it was the only player in the mirrorless market before Nikon and Canon joined the game. I started in the business with the 5D Mark III and that is a solid camera. You can't go wrong with the R5 for sure. So many great cameras out there to pick from. Lots has to do with your brand favorite.

Both systems are amazing! I went with HD Photo Hub after meeting with them at the PMRE conference and they seemed like to perfect fit for my business. They answered all the questions and due to the higher volume that I shoot along with the slower winters, HDPH is much cheaper. Their support is amazing too! You won't be disappointed.
