You got it. Hes speaking with a northern accent, but using southern slang and expressions. This would be like hearing someone speak english with a british accent, but using american slang. It immediately stands out as unusual, jarring, or even comical to the Italian hitmen. The one hitman seems particularly humored and intrigued, the one who asks 'Where?' almost seems resentful that he's taking orders from somebody with a northern italian accent.

@@luc00144 I've rewatched this scene so many times because I always felt something bigger was happening. The hitman asking "Where?", and your observation answers my question on why Corky just walks off with a pissed off look.

@@tomservo5347 @tomservo5347 I also was fascinated by this scene. Every Corky scene, few as they were, I found fascinating. Corky may have run off because he was pissed off, didn't feel the need to explain anything more about himself to this guy, or just knew what he was going to get into if he answered (snarling remarks, etc.). It's likely not the first time his accent raised eyebrows, his character was likely self conscious about it. Also, I agree 100% about your theory that his family might have connections to a major mafia network in Italy. Because if I remember correctly, he was not trusted with just the orchestration of Phil's hit, but also Rusty Millio? Despite visibly only really desiring H from life, he's trusted enough to organize two major New York hits.. there must be a deeper reason, like family ties with mafioso figures who honored la cosa nostras vow of silence. Just a theory, but it appears David Chase or whoever made this character had a much larger backstory of Corky than we got to see. It's a good thing him and Furio never interacted lol. (Furios infamous 'i hate the north' rant when talking about Columbus)
