@cyberdrivemediaАй бұрын
@nathanaramco6813 Unfortunately, I didn't film the whole process, but it was done with a warn winch plate for the rubicon steel bumper. That piece gets installed normally per instructions. The bumper itself basically gets cut up until it fits. There is not much left in the center part after.

Should've just spent the money and went with Zionsville with the metal coolant reservoir, and Stant metal radiator cap, zero plastic. Over the past ten hellish' summers in El Paso I've driven uphill through the mountain pass and never had my needle drift past dead center. My weak OE water pump was replaced with a Stewart wp.
@cyberdrivemedia2 ай бұрын
@danielwatts9803 i can definitely go farther, and it seems like I need to, but this is the only scenario mine overheats in. It doesn't overheat other than donuts. I may just need to improve airflow with a better fan or shroud, or holes in the hood
@danielwatts98032 ай бұрын
@@cyberdrivemedia the minimum SPAL fan CFM requirement should be over 2,000cfm (I forgot the exact number). Any electric fan blowing below 2k cfm will not maintain steady temperatures. Holes in the hood is 100% NOT required...

I have a client with a 2005 BMW M3 with 143k miles. He states that when he goes uphill on the freeway with AC on, the needle goes to the right white dot. I checked the coolant temperature and its at 98-99C when it reaches the dot. He freaks out then turns on the heater to get the needle back to the middle. We already replaced the water pump, thermostat, engine coolant temp. sensor near thermostat, installed a CSF radiator, replaced radiator hoses with new coolant temp. switch, fan clutch and recently, a new auxiliary fan but he's still having the same issue. Then I read the owners manual and it says, "Between the blue and red zones Normal operating range. The needle may rise as far as the edge of the red sector during normal operation." My client is really uncomfortable seeing the needle move past the middle. As of right now, we haven't found a fix yet.

@BMWguy206 other than under the heavy stress in this video this setup works great. I haven't messed with anymore cooling ideas since this video yet, but I plan to. I want the tires to blow long before the engine over heats. I'll post an updated video when I try more things
