A step in the right direction if you expect licensed full scale pilots to easily interface with UAS industry. The modern small drone controls seems to be designed by Gamers not actual pilots.

We have some sexy handhelds coming out soon. The gamer designed ones are usually just 'windows gamepads' and don't have the robust radio control interface we offer and our clients need. Our touchscreen handhelds will have it all.

Where do you get your joysticks from? Im trying to find a small compact joystick like that

Hi Jake! We use APEM and OTTO Hall Effect joysticks. They are 2-axis and 3-axis joysticks. If you go on DigiKey they have many options available! Best of luck. You are always welcome to e-mail us [email protected] if you have any additional questions.

Please tell the price and high altitude and how many km we can control far away
@DesertRotor2 жыл бұрын
Hello, our GCS designs can interface with virtually any radio & autopilot system. Altitude/Range will depend on what radio systems you go with inside the GCS. We have clients hitting 50KM using 30Watt RF Amplifiers on Microhard MIMO radios. We also have simple radio systems that can get you up to 20KM. It really depends as range is unlimited if you are using the LTE Sky-Drones or SkyHopper radios. GCS pricing starts at $6,600 US dollars. Website www.desertrotor.com has all the info. Thanks!

How far can I fly an aircraft with it?
@DesertRotor2 жыл бұрын
Hello! It depends what communication module you install. You have unlimited range if using a LTE radio. Point to Point radios typically around 5KM to 100KM depending if you use Antenna Trackers and RF Amplifiers. Range depends on a number of other variables, though those are the rough figures.

Hello Don W! Thank you for your interest. Our website has a GCS pricing configurator. It really depends on the model and options you go with. Our GCS models have a standard 6 to 8 week lead time and expedited builds 4 to 5 weeks. Check out www.desertrotor.com , send us an email note! We would love to help you further.

What is the station power supply? Grid power, to me, is impractical and I am guessing you would want a good size battery for and onboard computer and communications equipment to last for any real length of time.
@DesertRotor3 жыл бұрын
Hello Nicholas, all our GCS models can be powered via 4cell Lithium-Ion packs and/or AC Power Supply. There are parallel battery ports internally so you can run two packs at once and 'hot swap' packs during live missions. Or you can plug the power supply into a generator. Some clients build their own packs for the GCS to get extreme capacity as there is a lot of space internally. Thanks.

What range can u get off this
@DesertRotor3 жыл бұрын
Hello! Many apologies, we missed this comment. The range is unlimited. The GCS can interface with the vast majority of digital radios available along with the available cellular and satellite networks. It's up to our users how far they want to develop with our GCS platform. Our typical user is getting 2 to 30 miles out of the box. Check out our website, www.desertrotor.com, thanks :)

@debinray16685 жыл бұрын
Hi Juan, our GCS platform can output different signal protocols depending on what radio you are using. In case of Dragonlink we select the PPM out analog signal from our software/hardware interface and send it to the radio. We can natively output PPM, SBUS and SERIAL.
