Can you test with just negative & positive wires or you have to hook up the yellow wire also?

The yellow needs to be together with the red or it will not turn on. Only if you install it in your car yellow with yellow and red with red

Right. To us. But to the components yes. Just make sure to isolate wires. Use some electrical tape and make sure no speaker wires touch each other. If they are not new and already have the shielding off just electrical tape to isolate. Following that this is 100% safe for the radio (and humans)

My softener, WHES44 , makes soft water but the scale seems like it still builds up. It's been about 9 months now and I thought it would start to clean up or get rid of lime-like scaling by now. Is it defective? thanks

although there is no harm in leaving the plastic piece in there with copper, it is only essential for pex installation.

Does the battery hold a charge? The battery on my Wii U only lasts 2 hours and I want to get it replaced. Do you have the link of the product on Amazon? Was it an original Nintendo battery or a third party battery?
