ive been in that 32 years ago at RAF scampton done two trips down the runway and i even left some blood on the hatch to get in as i bashed my head as i was getting in and i can say this its fucking loud when you aint got the headphones on as i was asked if i want to speak to the traffic control tower but i was too shy LOLOLOL

How many Shackletons with the Registration Number WR963 are there ? This is the second one I’ve seen lately ! I served on 8Sqn for 8 Years and we had a WR963 as well ! Something’s not right ! Another Video for “Hangar Pilots” but very nostalgic for me. Thank you

You had the same one. WR963 served for 20 years prior to 8 Sqn, the colours she wears currently are her own from 1954. When reassembled at Elvington, she'll be going back into 8 Sqn's colours though.

@@biggles19821 on 8Sqn we had two AC which were not converted to the AEW Roule but were used for Flying Training, 63 must have been one of them. I can’t remember all of the Reg Numbers, it’s now rather a long Time ago !

These used to be based at Finningley Airport near us in Doncaster UK and you knew if they were testing, you could hear them miles away and I can say that I was lucky enough to see them flying on multiple occasions, awesome machines 👏
