Too bad 99% of Antiochian parishes in America sing the monstrously ugly four part harmonized byzantine chant or boomer sounding music copied from the OCA instead of this.

I am a Roman Catholic, but I must hand it to my Orthodox brothers and sisters for their glorious musical tradition. Keep up the good work, and keep praising our Lord, my brothers and sisters.

Am a roman catholic like you, I don't see I have to leave it to anybody, what's wrong with the gregorian

Catholics have the Byzantine tradition as well. This musical tradition lives within Catholicism, not just the orthodox sects.
@gentlemanbronco324613 күн бұрын
@@fadiabdallah8388nothing is wrong with it in itself. What’s wrong though is that it is being used less and less in favor of these protestantized hymns.

Friend we are not cafeteria catholics we are loyal to our religion and since we have the gregorian chants to which is very reverend and glorify the lord the court of heaven is should be sufficient we don't need other to praise on our behalf. Yes we do have the hymns to which I cannot stand, but it's not all bad. A lot of it by Alphonso ligouri thomas equations, etc Orthodox are closest to us since we have 22 rites in the catholic Roman Catholic church but there are in schism so we are not in union With them Thank you
Thank you for sharing. NY is a bit far from me (Australia 😁) but it was great to listen to you and see the beautiful cathedral. God bless your concert and ministry in chant.
