The ships that are made out of blocks you can change them as a house but the ship that you craft to sailing is just a big version of the boat so you cannot place blocks on it

That is really cool, next time try to use a higher FOV and hide control hints (settings -> video) and it will be better for the future. Also you can try to add a bit of music but at low volume, lower the sound of weather and the game globally then increase the mic volume.

Later to be more like a pro youtuber, edit your video to make it shorter (10-20min) add some cuts and your video will be more dynamiq. This is a lot of effort but you know, that is the game.
