Heads up! I just ordered a Kucht wall-mounted hood, but I didn't realize it was sized for high ceilings and possibly even a professional kitchen. Hired someone to install and when I went in my kitchen was very surprised. Made the installers pull it and re-install. for one thing - it is huge - 30"X24". that means the appliance is as wide as your bottom cabinet so if you don't install it very high - you will hit your head constantly and then installing that high - might not get the draw you need to pull out any smoke. as a side note: instructions by Kucht are horrible and incomplete for the average remodeler. it's a very attractive hood, but beware of your size constraints.

most of the angles hood which are supposed to be 90 cm are actually have a 30 or 24 cm opening covered by a 90 cm glass !! in this case i might as well if i am not aesthetically concerned take a 60 cm hood over my 90 cm cooktop and it has the same ectraction opening size and just a little bit less power! of course that is ridiculous but i am really confused about that i wanted an angled 90 cm hood that looks nice but covers well, mean while all T shaped extractors seem to cover the whole cooktop area but we dont know actually how much it covers from the inside opening as we see the filters arranged across the width only ... can you please explain that to me

I do so wish we could get appliances in beautiful COLORS! But NO, the makers are color blind and know only black, white, and stainless steel. The few that do make color versions, like Zline, are notorious for their poor reliability and terrible customer service.

At a bare minimum the output of a tub filler should be 7-8 Gallons per minute (identified the the specs as GPM). The problem is California, and their water drought issues serves to drive the US market. As a result US brand name products like Delta, Moen, Price Phister, American Standard etc, make all their plumbing products to comply with Californias water conservation codes. Manufacturers are also making it much harder, if not impossible to remove any flow restrictors that may be installed. As a result finding a high flow tub fillers often requires you to go with an off brand import (non- US made product) as they do not have to comply with US regulations and you can find some fillers that supply as much as 17 gallons per minute... "providing"... your home or bathroom has the necessary plumbing and water pressure. FACT: If you have a fancy soaker tub, some of the US made tub fillers can take 45 minutes or more to fill it. Choose wisely.

Funny ha ha, a month ago I would have thought most doorknob measurements were universal. Well, now I know a bit more before selecting several new doorknobs. Now, if anyone knows where I can find a replacement 2 and 3/8 inch springlatch (preferably chrome finish) for an old (but excellent!!!) Schlage Claremont interior doorknob, I need one.
