This was not the original plan for the episode. Apparently Londo and G'kar really were supposed to work together to escape; but Andreas Katsulas convinced JMS to change it to this. G'Kar not wanting to help Londo was brilliant because this made the Dust Episode, which happens 4 episodes later more poignant.

Thanks to Tesla we do finally have a significant number of electric cars on the roads, though they're nowhere near replacing gas-burners.

You can clearly see the hatred between the characters but at the same time see the chemistry of the actors

I wonder if G'kar indirectly saved them by having them stay put, which is usually the wisest course of action in an emergency. It would be deeply funny.

I wish there was a blooper reel showing how many times they broke character. From what I understand about the working relationship between the actors, I'd like to believe that they had a blast doing this scene.

It’s because phase shifting has a polarization to it. You’re only out of phase to vertical surfaces or those within a fairly large degree from 90 degrees, say 3 - 177 degrees. Horizontal surfaces like floors, ground and stairs are not affected by the phase shift. Gravity is also not affected so you don’t get pulled down or float away.

All they need to do is significantly update CGI of this series and it will be the best thing on TV. Again.

There's a story about this episode that say's the actor playing G'kar was adlibbing some of his lines to make it more funny and Londo wasn't in on the joke.

3:48 When the scene went from black comedy to just straight darkness. Until recently, G'Kar's whole life had been dedicated to revenge against the Centauri, only for them to destroy Narn's defenses and turn his people into slaves, and now here he is, stuck in a trap that will eventually kill himself and the Centauri most responsible for his people's suffering, he can't take the absurdity of it all. A masterful performance from Andreas Katsulas, holy crap.

Definitely the two actors that made this show amazing. Ivanova had her moments, Bester was the Bestest, but Londo and G’Kar… Oh, wait, I forgot about “be somewhere else.” So many great moments.

If youre reading this and you dont know b5 is the greatest secret ever. In a time when only movies had cgi this show pumped them out weekly. It is a five year story arc that immerses you in a revalationay world. Get past season 1 season 2 is the best bit of writing ever. If you like the expanse, orville or firefly do not miss this. Do not.
