Performing this work was definitely a highlight of my time singing in San Diego. The text, the music and love put into this work was almost overwhelming. I had to practice -a lot- so I wouldn't lose emotional control through some of the passages! Thank you, and may God bless you with many more years of making beautiful music!

Sung at the funeral of a good friend. It was the most beautiful moment.

My grandfather was a parish pastor for 30+ years, including 22 years at his final congregation. This song was used as a recessional at his funeral, sung in the church that he had served so faithfully. We the family, and some 25+ members of the clergy, many of whom he had encouraged to go into the ministry, processed out in tears listening to this.

This was so beautiful and touching. I laughed and cried. I'm feeling such gratitude for being able to be his friend. Thank you Ellen and Joe for putting this up for us to watch and everyone who shared stores and sang. I really loved this part, about how "Jason lived in the world as it should be". Maybe we all should find our own magic, our own "Turnage factor". He had this magic, that with just a smile he could capture your heart and bring joy. There should be a movie made based on Jason's life. I will tell you what I sense.. he's excited about the next stage in his spiritual journey and he'd want us to feel that love and joy that his smile and his eyes gave us in life, Everytime we think if him. ✨🥀

Pat shared so much energy…Ib talked of Pat’s roadmaps to the city she would hand to him as she dropped him on a corner on her way to work. She was a great supportive guide to a young man starting his adventure in a new land. Thank you for sharing Pat’s celebration of life well led.🌹
