FYI to anyone doing this with the docker k8s , on the test deploy around 6:00 you will need to use the port found in the PORT(S) section from kube get all, For instance mine was 80:30415/TCP . When trying to connect on localhost:80 i see nothing, when using localhost:30415 i can then see the site. I am guessing that internal needs another command to expose on port 80 but at least this gets you going for the rest of the tutorial.

Anyone with access to the host can open a root shell in any lxc containers. Besides restricting host access are there any mechanisms to prevent root access to the individual lxc containers?

Would love some coverage of how to go from having none of this to implementing some of it. It's not overnight. Takes a lot of time. My company wants to 'shift left' for the support function but struggles to understand the need in the dev team. I'm at the point where I've got azure devops doing some basic builds and deployments but nowhere near being able to use containers or anything. Most of our stuff is windows services or IIS :/

However, when I tried like you with kustom-dev-app and put kustom-webapp/overlays/dev in Path, Argo CD doesn't recognize it as a Kustomize application, but puts Directory instead. But if I put kustom-webapp/base in the Path, then it recognizes that it is a Kustomize application. I don't know what the problem is. Can you help me please?

I work in IT as both a Sr. Field Tech and a Workstation RHEL admin. I already do a lot of automation in my current role wriring scripts as i like the coding aspect of automation opposed to developing software. I'm doing a lot of training on my own as i built my own GitLab server as my go to DevOps platform and git repository server. I also have Ansible setup as well. I'm focusing on getting my a w s cloud certifications while i focus on fundamental skill sets.

I had some issues when building the docker image. The process would fail with: ERROR: failed to solve: process "/bin/sh -c jenkins-plugin-cli --plugins \"blueocean:1.25.3 docker-workflow:1.28\"" did not complete successfully: exit code: 1 A version incompatibility with the used Jenkins version was causing this. I changed the Jenkins version in the Dockerfile to FROM jenkins/jenkins:2.426.1-jdk11 and the build finished successfull and also the command for executing the build to: docker build -t myjenkins-blueocean:2.426.1 . Leaving this here in case anyone encounters this issue.
