I close the braker 1 week ago and i still detect power is it safe to remove a fuse?
@arcticspasvancouverisland18 күн бұрын
Sorry for the late response over the weekend. Your wording is a bit confusing. Can you clarify this statement: "I close the braker 1 week ago and still detect power."? How are you detecting power? If any electricity is flowing, you definitely should NOT open the unit to change the fuse under any circumstance to avoid electrocution. If your tub is not hard-wired in and it has a plug, you might want to try removing that for extra safety. However, if it is wired in and you are still uncertain, it's best to talk to our service department to guide you through this process or speak to an electrician. Safety is #1! Our service department is 250-597-7775, extention 103. You can leave a message or call on Monday morning.

April 2024 new YUKON hot tub installation. Had to replace all my jets once after 4 monts due to rusting corrosion pitting issues on the stainless steel rings. 2 months later, same issue, replacements are pitting/rusting again. Thinking I made a mistake buying a saltwater hot tub system instead of old standby chemical (Cl/Br) sanitizing system. Testing this saltwater system as much if not more with strips compared to my old JACUZZI tub. THe spa boy apps says things are okay for Cl and pH. test strips say otherwise. Using new test strips too. Going to see if corroded jets are warrantable - again. If not, will buy all new rings, keep old ones. When I go on a trip for a few weeks, will swap out all the jets with rusty ones and keep "newer ones" for later to delay the inevitable replacement time. If only I could go to plastic screw in 3", 5", 7" jets for this newer style YUKON tub.

How do you know what to set duration and frequency for? If you are using it more or less what are the guide lines?
@arcticspasvancouverisland18 күн бұрын
A great question! Start with default of “8 hours” for Onzen (Duration 2:00, Frequency 4). Then, adjust up or down in increments of 1 to 2 hours depending on residual Clorine ppm using you test strips to determine this. You can play with frequency and duration to meet these requirements as you just multiply these together.

Sorry, unfortunately the Columbia Swim Spa does not offer the polar white at this time. However, that would be a great idea. I absolutely love the satin feel.

Hi: What was the noise dampening black pad you mentioned? Also, any suggestions for noise dampening around the enclosed box we will place our new spa. Marc knows our plan.
@arcticspasvancouverisland18 күн бұрын
Good Question. Sorry for the late response. Since we cannot put links in here, do a search for Horse Mats. There is likely an acoustic paneling that can be used for the box. Here's one on Amazon (do a search on Amazon for this): UMIACOUSTICS 4 PCS Acoustic Panels, 2“ Thick 23.6" x 11.8" Fiberglass Sound Proof Wall Panels, Self-adhesive Sound Absorbing Panels for Studios, Office, Home Theater. Deep Black. Hope that helps!

What's the insulation difference between classic and custom?
@arcticspasvancouverislandАй бұрын
Both are identical when it comes to the insulation. It even uses the same heat transfer shell. The big difference is in the addition of Spa Boy automated chlorine generator and its accompanied computer pak making sanitizing much simpler.

Some videos say that it depends on the frequency of UV light whether it destroys chlorine. For me, UV light is the most important, although not a single solution. I understand from a Jacuzzi promotional video that all their hot tubs are fitted with UV light sanitisation.

There is a health Canada approved product called Ocion Blue. This is used instead of the in-line ionizer that you pictured early in the video. The nice thing about it is hat copper can be measured in the water and the test strips work really well. It’s very easy to maintain 1.0 ppm of the product. It lasts a long time. Just do an occasional top up and the levels are so low and not constantly being generated so you don’t really need to worry about having too much and then all of it precipitating out. I found it dead easy to put my tub in cruise control when I go away. Water was perfect when we came home. Now it says it’s health Canada approved but I have not independently verified that. I would doubt they would tempt fate with a baseless claim since CFI Agents would descend on their carcass with alacrity. My experience with the product has been excellent. Definitely worth bringing in the product as an option for a secondary water treatment that supports chlorine well.

Are these plug and play spas popular comparatively to the 220 spas? Are you able to keep it up to temperature using a portable power station being charged off solar?

It looks like you make a very nice hot tub. I'm surprised your company has not gone to robotics. Especially for the applications on the reverse side of the tub. Also for cutting the jet holes. In reference to the releasing of the heat I've seen one company that actually has a vent that opens and closes based on the heat inside the cabinet. Obviously not all environments are as cold. I wonder if Arizona for example would be an area where you'd almost have too much insulation. Hmmm 🤔. Nice video
@johnkeirstead80859 ай бұрын
The company actually does use robotic router for trimming the holes into the shells, as well as for many of the components manufacturing. Indeed we are always looking for ways to make the product more efficient and do so more efficiently. Technology is changing very rapidly but implementation takes time to be adopted.
