You can not be a bible believing church and ordain women at the same time. I pray for clarity for you
@catalystcarrolltonАй бұрын
@@kemperflats ordaining is the process of setting an individual apart as a minister of the gospel, showing evidence of God’s calling and gifting in their life. Much like Mary Magdalene. The Apostle Paul worked closely with several women in ministry roles and acknowledged their contributions, which can be understood as a form of commissioning or support for their work. Some notable women associated with Paul's ministry include: 1. **Priscilla**: Along with her husband Aquila, Priscilla was a significant figure in the early church. Paul refers to them as "my co-workers in Christ Jesus" (Romans 16:3). Priscilla, in particular, is noted for her teaching ministry, including instructing Apollos, an eloquent preacher, more accurately in the way of God (Acts 18:26). 2. **Phoebe**: Paul refers to Phoebe as a deacon (or servant) of the church in Cenchreae and a benefactor of many, including Paul himself (Romans 16:1-2). He entrusted her with delivering his letter to the Romans, indicating her importance and reliability in the ministry. 3. **Junia**: Mentioned in Romans 16:7, Junia is described as "outstanding among the apostles" and a fellow prisoner with Paul. Though the exact nature of her apostolic work is debated, her inclusion in this list suggests she was a prominent figure in the early church. 4. **Lydia**: Lydia, a businesswoman and a worshiper of God, is considered the first European convert to Christianity after Paul and his companions shared the gospel with her in Philippi. She opened her home to Paul and his companions, which became a meeting place for the early church (Acts 16:14-15, 40). These women clearly played crucial roles in the early Christian movement, often with Paul's endorsement or collaboration. The Word works if you work It. God bless you!

@@catalystcarrollton I never said women can’t minister or don’t play crucial roles in the church. But the point is you have this woman preaching in what I imagine is a pastoral role. That is expressly prohibited in the Bible. That doesn’t mean I think women can’t provide spiritual guidance to other women or children. It just means that this lady, in the capacity that I presume she is in, is operating outside of the word of God, which is not a good thing for ministers to do. If I’m mistaken and she’s not in a pastoral role, I might suggest changing the theatrics to make it seem like she was just ordained as a pastor. All love just my thoughts.

@@kemperflats The Bible contains passages that some interpret as restricting women from preaching or having authority in the church, while others see these verses in a historical and cultural context that doesn't apply universally. The two most commonly cited passages are: 1. **1 Timothy 2:11-12**: "Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence." 2. **1 Corinthians 14:34-35**: "Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says." Many traditional interpretations of these passages suggest that women should not preach or hold authority over men in a church setting. However, other scholars argue that these verses were addressing specific issues in the early church or are reflective of the cultural context of the time rather than being blanket prohibitions for all time. They point out that there are several examples in the Bible of women who played significant roles in ministry and leadership, such as Deborah (Judges 4-5), Priscilla (Acts 18:26), Phoebe (Romans 16:1), and Junia (Romans 16:7). Therefore, interpretations vary widely among different denominations and theological perspectives. Some churches allow women to preach and hold leadership roles, while others do not. "But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice." (Philippians 1:18) May Christ be magnified through you, the Church, and in the world. Love and peace to you!
