Brandon's my local track. Great to see John Lund (53), Frankie Wainman Jr (515) and others I recognise from my childhood in the 90s. So many yellow flags in this one race. Pure carnage and it's so true what the American driver said about racing on our oval tracks, that you can easily be taken out when committing to a corner.

We used to go to the Brandon Bowl when we were really little in the early 90s and loved it. Motorsport needs to return to the site.

Why recording on bends ?
@BriscaF1StockCarFan3 жыл бұрын
3 reasons. 1. Best place to stand. I can catch cars coming into the bend, in the bend, coming out of the bend, and a lot of action on both straights. 2. Much easier to pan over a short distance than sweeping end to end over a long distance, especially if there's some action you would like to capture. Must easier on the eye, rather panning about over a bigger distance. 3. Creature of habit. Hard to stand somewhere else when you've stood in and around an area for 40 odd years. 😄
@stephenburgreave9343 жыл бұрын
@@BriscaF1StockCarFan yea but what if the action happens at the far end when I use to go I would stand 1/2 down one of the straights last meeting I attended bell vue wf 1982 I think winner 2 willie Harrison but my fav was the wolf 190 if you’re sill going good for you thx for uploading

I am from America and I am fucking amazed to see paved oval racing in Europe wtf? Also they don't even call yellows when wrecks happen wow.
@BriscaF1StockCarFan4 жыл бұрын
That's because they are full contract. The fastest, better drivers start at the back, and have to move through the field to win. Hitting the opposition is part and parcel of racing. They race on tarmac and shale surfaces, and to be fully competitive, a car for each surface is required, as the set up varies for each surface.

@BriscaF1StockCarFan7 жыл бұрын
Super Brit It cost him a bit, but to be honest, it was only ever really going to be Nigel Green's race..
@superbrit38457 жыл бұрын
Yes I agree but the best chance Dan was going to get was to put Nigel in on the first bend as we knew he would drive away if he didn't. Maybe it's Nigel's back axle that won the race ;-)
@BriscaF1StockCarFan7 жыл бұрын
Super Brit Even if Dan hasn't fluffed his start, do you really think Nigel would have bared his arse, and said 'Here you go Dan, put me in' .. Nigel would have been expecting to be hit going into turn 1, but he needn't have worried, lol..
@superbrit38457 жыл бұрын
Think it would have been a bit more interesting if Dan was right on his rear bumper going into turn 1 as Dan would have known that it was his only chance to influence the result and he would had needed to bury Nigel in order to stand a chance of winning.
