Hi Shonna, this soap looks fantastic, I was worried it was going to be muddy when you swirled so much but it turned out wonderfully. This should fly off your shelf when you open your store. Wallpaper was a big trend in the 70s in Australia but Ive never been a fan really. I like your non edited Homestead videos.

Hi Shonna, its so wonderful to see you making soap again. No ads were in your video this time. I've also noticed there are alot of soap makers missing this year I know 2 of my other favourite Soap makers are too sick to be making soap but others seem to have just disappeared. Im sad that youve made videos and Utube didnt notify me that you had uploaded a video, but Im so pleased I saw this one and now I can go back and watch the others. I'm so sorry to hear about Gordon's passing but once your house is ready I'm sure another amazing rat buddy will find his way into your home and heart. Spring is here in Tasmania so the days are warming up and I hope to get out ìn my garden. I hope both you and Aaron are well and Boris and Jackie Brown are bringing you both lots of laughter. Your soap fragrance sounds so fresh and wonderful. I hope to sèe you making soap agaìn soon or in your garden5 b ,

I'm so sorry about Gordon (and the other ratties)! (((HUGS))) I'm not a soaper -- more a yarn dyer and art maker -- and I don't think you're subscribed to my channel, but I haven't done any videos in a while because, well, all three of our cats died over the course of a few months in early 2023. Including one who was only seven years old and went from perfectly fine to gone in the span of twelve hours (blood clot). It was too much grief all at once, and it broke me. I couldn't face doing anything, much less all the work involved in doing YT videos. I've recorded some videos since then, but it's really hard to get the motivation to edit them when YT makes it so difficult to build a viewership, ya know? Hopefully soon, though. I feel ya on YT putting videos before, after, and in the middle of our videos when we're deemed too small to get a cut of the advertising money. So frustrating!

I just realized how much I've missed your videos. Things have been busy on my side as well, we moved six months ago, we actually ran away from the flies - long story short, they started a soy sludge plant next to our house🥵 We are now renting a old farm house on a game farm ...heaven <3 I haven't unpacked everything yet but who cares. Oh, and I realized that just making soap isn't going to generate a sustainable income for me, I took a year to learn more about other skincare products and developed a basic range. You make way more profit with a sugar scrub or body butter with the same cost to ingredients, than with soap, it's been a game changer for me. I also hate sales, in my perfect world I would be able to formulate, make and gift everything.😄 How many view hours are you short? I'll play some of your videos during the night to help make up some of them. I got my soap channel monetized in January, but only with loads of support from friends and subscribers that intentionally watched my videos to up my hours. Blessings and all the best with your renovations. I have to rewind and catch up on your videos now. 🌿

If I had been making more content throughout the year I might be close by now. I need to work on that. You are just the best and I appreciate you so much ❤️🫧😊

It's like you keep uncovering secrets every time you do some work on this place, isn't it? It's wild to see the slow transformations. I do agree that the bare wood base looks better than the aggressively cheerful artificial stuff you had before. Given how much work you've been doing it's not a shock that you haven't had time to split your attention between what makes money and what doesn't. I can't imagine selling soap gives as much as a bigger income and has a lot more work besides given you're out in the country now. Unless you ship from the house? I always wondered about that. On a different note, do you like having proper counters to make soap on? I can't imagine half working on your stove like you used to was fun, but I have no idea how much of a difference it actually makes vs. a table or what have you. I would describe the pattern as flower petals on water so. The discoloration makes it look like a muddy pond someone threw flower petals on to me. You have my condolences for the loss of your rat companions though. Given everything going on in your life, I understand why you're going to wait to pick up new ones, but that doesn't mean it's not unfortunate. I hope you're doing well otherwise, and I always look forward to seeing your videos here.
@NezumiSoaps4 күн бұрын
Yes, always uncovering secrets here, lol. Selling soap is not a very lucrative business. Especially with shipping prices involved. Most soapers have to come up with other products to also sell to make money. Yes! I love having a countertop to work on! It's so nice. They are kind of tall counters, too, which I like. I love your description of the soap as flower petals on a muddy pond. That didn't cross my mind at all, but it's perfect 🌼 Thank you, as always, for being here and for your very kind words ❤️🐀 I appreciate you so much!!!!

@skerendreameraАй бұрын
I was, in fact, wondering what you were doing not wearing gloves when you said something about that, yes. I wasn't expecting the lard for some reason. It might have just been a while but I could have sworn that wasn't one of your favorite oil additives. Not that I have an issue with it, of course, just surprised. Also, you actually pouring coconut oil really highlights how warm your house is my friend. That consistency of batter came out supper glossy in the blend which is really interesting, actually. Oh wow, the texture on that when you cut it is WILD. I'm not sure I've seen a soap come out like that for anyone I watch before. Do you suppose the slightly different color situation was due to the corn silk? If the color variance on the face of the bar was from that it would track. I hope it turns out to have been worth the extra steps when you try it! Have a good day!
@NezumiSoapsАй бұрын
Thank you for always being here, Skeren ❤️ I like using lard in my soaps. You might have me mixed up with another soaper, maybe? I'm not sure how I got that unique looking texture on the face of the soap! It could be the silk. I'll have to make another batch with a different fragrance oil to confirm it wasn't that. I always appreciate your comments, my friend!!
