RL is the lead singer of the group who you can hear primarily singing with Beyoncé on this track. He also has a hit duet song "We Can't Be Friends" feat. Deborah Cox (another fabulous R&B diva who made waves in the late 90's, early 2000's. Her voice is on par with Whitney). At the end of My Body is not Mine it's almost not noticable over the production but she's screaming "Cease fire now!" dubbed with "Is this all you got" If you pay attention. When I first realised it hit me so much. The abrupt change up left me so confused but when I listened to it more it suddenly just made me go WOW...Some songs are definitely a grower though, I totally get it xD

when i first listened to this album years ago i was like ugh i i dont like it a whole lot but after a few more listens i discovered how much i loved a few , AND ESPECIALLY HEY GIRL. omg that song grew on me so much these past few months it is such an easy song to listen to, sounds so retro, so elton john coded like the 70s, and it has such a beautiful message about girls supporting other girls (2024 lol)
