The excuses being made by everyone including you guys for OKC is literally laughable. Their offense is horrendous(no matter if Chet is in the lineup of not) and they will be ousted once again early in the playoffs unless they make a big-time trade . SGA had one good half of basketball(and it really wasn’t all that good ) during the semifinals and finals which is more than I can say for Jalen Johnson. OKC will get exposed in the playoffs once again by any team that has elite scorers. Also if we are using your very flawed rationale about how it was just an “off night” for OKC I don’t want to hear or read another thing about OKC “getting over the hump” against Dallas just because they beat them in this fake tournament. Dallas is a much better team than OKC and I don’t care at all what any of the “advanced stats” say. They have 2(Luka &Kyrie) and possibly even three guys(Klay) I’d take to hit a game winning shot before I’d even begin to think about trusting SGA to do it. Lastly I was telling anyone who would listen that Doc Rivers was a better coach for this one game scenario than Mark Dagnold and it proved true. Would I pick Doc Rivers to win the NBA finals, no, however he has coached and been in more elimination games than Dagnold has coached playoff games altogether.

Horrible take. I really don't understand everyone's worries of Maxey and McCain defensively... as it stands, we certainly don't have a defender that can lock down from the PG or SG spot, and even Kyle Lowry's slight bump in defense doesn't make up for the lack of offense when compared to McCain. In any starting lineup, we'd also have Embiid, George, and Oubre/Martin/Yabusele... plenty of defense and size to offset the size deficit of our two guards. In any lineup we run, we're not gonna be a top 5 defensive team. We might as well try to get as much offense on the court at once as possible and stop thinking so heavily about how tall they are.
