I love this tire and I use them on my everyday driver (285/75/R18) but your fuel mileage will suffer.I don't care what he said. Mine went down about 4 mpg. So, he's full of it about that. Otherwise great tire.

Thanks, man. And I hear you. I can only imagine how great your ls3 sounds. From what i understand, tuning an exhaust in a car where the motor was engineered to be there creates a little more flexibility in what you can do (assuming you have factory mounts, sound deadening, etc). For me dealing with an aftermarket motor and poly mounts on this frame/chassis, the whole thing was resonance prone. Really, the Helmholtz fixed everything and I could probably go louder now. But I enjoy the stealth nature of it when my foot isn’t in it. Cheers!

Lol he said first generation chargers are ugly cars 😂 as a charger fan I like the first ones because they have that Marlin look, or a first generation barracuda. And they're rare, more so than the fast and the furious chargers. But this guy made a beautiful vehicle, love how he transitioned the back end into a muscle car. Hella cool

Currently in the process, is there a reason you didnt go AN fuel lines? Going to state ref also but want to use AN, are they not approved? Also in case i just go your route what is the fitting you used on the fuel rail to attach the rubber fuel hose? Thanks in advance!
@internetbrandsautogroup3826

Hello! Not sure what you mean by AN fuel lines. Like steel braided? The system is Earl’s Vapor Guard with -6 AN fittings and a c5/c6 fuel filter regulator. (It was installed one video before this one). Refs did not mention the fuel system at all. But In the LS3 EROD install instructions there are some SAE standards mentioned for hoses in a couple places that I used for the evap purge solenoid etc, you could always search for that type of hose and use throughout if you don’t have something in mind. But I’m not an expert. Just an idiot who has done this exactly once hahahaha. I think this is the fitting I used at the fuel rail “Earl's Performance Vapor Guard OEM Quick-Connect Fuel Rail Adapter Fittings 751166ERL” it just twists/locks onto the barb at the end of the fuel rail, and is ready for a -6 AN. Hope that helped. Good luck with your build! I’m 4,000 miles down the road now and just took the interior out to do the carpet hahaha.

@@internetbrandsautogroup3826 Thank you, it is very much appreciated your time to document everything. And yes i meant like nylon braided hose that is SAEj30 rated and i attach AN fittings instead of clamps like in your vid. I plan on adding an earls compression fitting at165006erl to the existing metal line from the vehicle then running it to the fuel rail using the -6 fitting number you just gave me. I wish i could document everything the way you did to help others but my videography is not as good as yours. And good luck on the continuation of your project! I will be rewatching these vids as i go

We have a 23 LC and a 24 LS. Oddly, they are VERY similar as far as the interior and maneuverability go. I have to say that I am not a fan of the touchscreen (LS) and can operate the track-pad (LC) with less distraction. In order to use the touchscreen, you have to lean out of your normal driving position to interact with it. You can fudge-about with the track pad at your leisure without becoming distracted. I will admit the addition of dedicated buttons to get to certain screens is a plus, but the general operation of the touchscreen is worse (more effort) than the track-pad. (IMO) In the real world, you rarely have to use either one, so, whatever. It's still a great car. The 360-degree camera is the only thing I wish the 23 LC had.

I am so glad they brought that contrasting color combination back. They had that stellar combo in the launch editions that was very similar with the white and blue but also had orange accents in addition. I personally love that white interior with the blue contrast. I keep my car pristine so it would be no problem for me to have the white color interior. It looks so gosh darn classy. I really elevates the vehicle. For the money, you would be hard pressed to find a similar performing, looking, sounding, and quality of fit and finish vehicle for the same amount of money you pay for this incredible machine. Japanese V8 engines are built to a quality similar to the finest Swiss watches! This vehicle (in the Coupe form) is one of my all time dream cars!

There's a really good engineering explained video about why swapping brakes won't gain you better stopping speed\distance. Basically, the stock brakes are more grabby than friction, so even the stock units would lock the wheels (friction of the tire overcome) or, in this case, kick on the abs. (This is why your rears, even in a 4500lbs boat, are drum. Still more grabby than your tires...) The only thing you can do to decrease stopping distance is more tire grip to increase road friction before lock up, which you already saw when you swapped the tires. What these upgraded brakes DO do significantly better, is cool down. So towing or spirited driving will be safer, with later fade.

The audio is your video is awesome. I have a ‘24 on order, and I’m interested in the competition (dual-tip). Can you give me an idea of how loud it is? I know cold starts will be loud, but how loud is it in the cabin while cruising with the windows up. Can I carry a conversation without yelling? Thank in advance.
@internetbrandsautogroup3826
@internetbrandsautogroup3826 2 ай бұрын
Okay, this is a little hard to describe in words, but it's definitely loud... but there's absolutely NO bass with the dual-tip system, so zero drone, and with the windows up, not too much louder than stock. Basically, if you are driving calmly, no problem. At WOT, conversations are more challenging. Windows down it's a mixed bag depending on throttle input. Best of luck with your decision.

@@internetbrandsautogroup3826 Hi Michael, I just wanted to follow up with you ad let you know that my '24 Mustang Gt finally came in, and I was able to pick up the dual tip Magnaflow Competition for a good price. @internetbrandsautogroup3826
@internetbrandsautogroup3826 3 ай бұрын
I sorta wish I had a stick, but also thought it might feel too truck-ish in a car with a bench seat. As for the parts, there will be specifics choices to be made related to drivetrain and your vehicle, but for the most part, many of the GM B-Body goodies are from either the late 60s or 70s through 96. It is very expensive, especially if you live someplace with restrictive emissions regulations.

With the slotted and drilled rotors, all else being equal, you should see an increased stopping distance due to less surface area. The dual pistons make up the difference, hopefully, but I would never recommend S&D rotors on a street car because they work less for street applications. On a track, its a different story, you want those cheese graters doing their thing. I'd bet that the stock rotors with the Wilwood calipers would put down some really impressive stopping distances. I am enjoying this build so far-I want some more modern power for my B-body.
