Thanks for the review! Need to get ‘dice through time’ but love ‘back in time’. Putting the soundtrack on in the background and playing through the game is awesome! Also, getting the power tile upgrades early on really stacks the options for the players to be successful. Therefore, to bump up the challenge…only have one opportunity card ‘per turn’ come out on the board for players to resolve. Also, the trouble cards - turn them over on the board and keep them in effect the entire time until a new trouble card replaces the old one. We found that thoughtful cooperating was a must to win and it took up until the last turn to do so. It was very exciting and suspenseful. - give it a try man! - best!

my mom bought me this game as a kid and i couldn't find anyone to play with. ended up just playing with the props and toys that came with the game

14:10 You're making a little error in your explanation here. You're correct about water in a straight line flowing a number of spaces equal to the number of water stones in that line. However, you're forgetting one important rule about the direction of the flowing river. The river always flows from the perspective of the 'head' of the straight line, which is the water stone you just placed; think of it as moving like in the Snake video game. In your example, you're moving the river with the 'tail' in front instead of the 'head', or in other words: against its head's direction. That is not allowed. The stones in the river must always follow the stone you just placed.

Dune is an amazing game, but it does take a lot of dedication to learn. The rule book is not the best, and going to BGG for more clarification is a must. If you get to know the rules better Dune really shines. 4 player is good, but best at 5 or 6. It really does take a certain type ofplayer, and a love of the source material, to push through getting to know the rules.
