Thus is my summary of what JW REALLY IS 1) Fear based ‘end ‘ ASAP of the world to make them NOT seek higher education. 2)A Pyramid Scheme 3)Highly Controlled Environment 4)NO FREEDOM 5) A Elaborate Real Estate Empire 6) FREE LABOR To Build That Real Estate Empire

What i needed when i needed it… raised in the Truth and left over 30 years ago. It is an isolating and confusing path. I am so thankful to those finally bringing attention to the guilt, shame, control of this faith. There are many wonderful, well intended people involved, which makes it that much easier to control and victimize. Thank you for your bravery.

The JW cult believe you can only get saved by doing good works. And even then it's a definite maybe. So much for Jesus' burden being easy and His yoke being light. JWs are really great at terrifying the life out of their members. I learned later you can just rebuke demons in Jesus' name, and they split, especially when you're no longer afraid of them. ❤

This is an awesome conversation! I truly appreciate you sharing your story Sam. My mother is a narcissist so I understand some of what you went thru! I also appreciate protecting your peace. Coming out of a cult that expects you to have no boundaries, being able to choose the people and experiences that you deal with now is an amazing part of freedom! Im so glad that you've got the friends that you care about back as well!! Thats amazing!! There are a bunch of us from all my old Halls that have reconnected. It is so neat to see how they have grown and healed and become who theyve always wanted to be. And it is so cool to have wildly different ideas and beliefs and still be friends and enjoy each other's company!

I feel so bad for you! I appreciate your story! You have scars but are healing. Jesus never acted the way you describe the elders/fellowship. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, King David, all knew God as a loving caring being, not a judgmental condemning God. Just as I was going to type “ I just want to give you a comforting hug, @32:40 your talk of being forced to hug; I thought, whoa! I need to watch this to the end! As aa grandfather who just left a cult after 51 years, I sure can relate to many of your experiences. Thanks for sharing. I believe your story will help others.❤️💕🤗

27:51 looks a lot like the movie 'Don't Look Up.' In fact, I was thinking that once people were talking about you when they entered the venue, using DRONES carrying banners with messages from ex-JWs would be amusing. It would be funny if that led them to say 'don't look up.' People would remember the movie. Regarding the elders speaking on the radio, I imagine it’s because they might be planning to lead the JWs along a route where you aren't present. Another thing I was thinking about is whether it would be possible to bring people who have studied the JW yearbook to talk about the tactics that the 'false religion' used to try to silence the JW message. If these tactics are similar to those of the JWs following you (perhaps blocking your image from other brothers), it would be an interesting step. Maybe PIMOs could be involved. Of course, it couldn't be public discourse, but small conversations about these two situations.

I was always made to feel by my mother that nothing I ever did was good enough. I spent my whole life letting her meddle and her opinions shape my choices. The only thug that would’ve made her happy was me being a baptized JW.

Oh my gosh... I am so sorry you went through all of this, and you are so brave to leave that dumb cult. The rope breaking is truly a metaphor for you, one in which one part died and you were literally reborn. You deserve this life you're creating, and while it can be lonely, totally worthwhile. Not related to you, but can tell you that I'm proud of you.

@@ucanliv4everwhere does it say you have to shun people who are blowing the whistle in child s*x abuse on the jw cult? JWs are a false religion, by their OWN standards. So no you fools don't have the right to shun. Also your shunning kills people. Like Stephen Letts nephew who ended his life because of being shunned. Wake up. It's an evil cult.

Enjoyed hearing about your life as a former JW. Glad you have overcome many hurdles you had faced growing up. That 'accent' you spoke of is when some 'self-righteous' JW is talking down to you. My only recourse was to feel sympathy for a person who felt the need to degrade another. No excuse for their arrogance. Don't resent them. Pity them. It will help with your healing.

here's a kicker... as an MS being expected to become an elder some day, it was emphasized, as a shepherd, elders need to be careful because an elders are accountable for causing others to stumble, or can be blood guilty if a decision (like removing or taking away privileges unjustifiably) causing a brother/sister to fall away from jehova or the organization.

Jesus shuns Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’ Matthew 27:3 You see, Jesus will shun the wicked just like 2 Tim 3:1-5 tells Christians to turn away from the wicked one. 2 Tim 3:5 says to shun the wicked aka turn away. Jesus shuns and Christians should also shun the wicked just like we read at 2 Tim 3:5 Christians must do what the Bible says, not listen to wicked people who don't know what they are doing! Read 2 Tim 3:1-5

You don't want to get involved with this cult. They believe you can only get saved by doing good works. Plus they revised the Bible to suit their doctrine. And you're supposed to obey the Governing Body over God because they're "so anointed." This is unbiblical. Their strict teaching is not "the truth." They even control your thoughts by inflicting fear and guilt.

Baptism in the JWs is a complex contract involving a huge enormity of rules and consequences. By law, a contract with a minor is invalid and illegal. Sue 'em! Press charges for child abuse. What they did to you is a crime.
@ChristineRossi-rc7xl21 күн бұрын
How traumatic for you! They shouldn't be shunning children. Because getting baptized into JWs involves waiving all your rights plus the complex doctrine they shove down people's throats, it means baptism is a contract, and by law, a contract with a minor is invalid. This is grounds for a lawsuit, plus criminal charges for child abuse. Sock it to 'em!
@ChristineRossi-rc7xl21 күн бұрын
Jesus was begotten, not made. The Father was greater than Him when He was on earth as a flesh and blood human being. Also, the Father was greater than Him while Jesus was on earth. He also says, "The Father and I are one." My King James Version. Not your New World Translation. JWs have their own Bible that the GB revised to suit their doctrine.

I wasn't brought up Jehovah Witness but I was brought up in a very tight knit non denominational Christian church group. We weren't really allowed to watch t.v. or listen to music if it wasn't Christian in nature. I remember when Amy Grant all of the sudden was on the list of things of what not to watch. So besides the whole thing that it wasn't a Christian cartoon we especially weren't supposed to watch the Smurfs. This was of course because of the fact that there was a sorcerer in the whole mix of the cartoon. So I've never heard this very specific story about Smurfs, but the prevailing thought of Smurfs bad is pervasive into many sectors of these religious groups. I just now found this channel kind of on accident but I was also shunned from my church as a child after my mom decided to "come out" at our church campout. We were promptly asked to leave and I never again saw or talked to any of the only people that I had known growing up after that day. So just know that it's not only Jehovah Witnesses that shun. Lol. Have a good day:)
